I hate it too jose but its the sad way of the football world at the moment. I just hope we get a good deal and a decent sell on or success based clause for more cash. Big pat on the back once again for our clubs youth system.
How much do you think it would take to tempt a sale (with sell on clauses of course). If I was writing the contract I would try to include a clause that ties the buyer into including in their sale contract a sell on clause of which we also get %. Eg we sell to A for £200,000 with a 10% (say) sell on clause and a further 10 % of their sell on to B (with A's sell on being at least 10%). A sells to B for £5million from which we get £0.5m B sells to C for £20m from which B gets £2m from which they must pay us £0.2m So we get (in addition to any other bonuses in our contract with A) £200,000 + £500,000 + £200,000 = £0.9m
