    Clyne defensively was refreshing to see. He and Lovren were very good, Gomez was ok.

    As Gez said, it really helped by having two hard working mids in front of them.

    Yep, the same with Firmino also.

    But it does highlight the need to bring in another quality holding mid for when Can is unavailable.

    I think Jaffa mentioned it earlier - did anyone notice a difference between Benteke and Mario today? Looked like both players suffered from lack of players around them or any support.

    In Benteke's defence, this guy does win everything in the air. Beast.

    I think Can had the bigger impact. Firmino showed some nice touches but I'm sure it will get lost but his work rate is top class.

    But I agree - both players should be starting ahead of Lallana and Ibe.

    Not best performance but 3 points and a clean sheet, cn't complain.

    Thought Gomez was very good defensively. Not much going forward
    but solid bar a couple of moments.

    Midfield 2 worked well and were solid if not spectacular.

    Fair play to Lovren, don't think he put a foot wrong and was unfairly booked in my opinion. Hopefully he can carry on like that

    Benteke isn't a massive Twat?

    433 is the way forward. Drop Lallana, seriously whats the point in him, and Ibe, as much as I rate him. Play Can holding and Firmino as ACM. Playing Can would also free up Milner and Henderson to get forward.
