This, a must start. Also Benteke needs to work a lot harder and chase people done, he was no different to Balotelli today

    Formation change worked

Coutinho was god awful in Rodgers starting system. ..

    Only slightly better in 433.

Can allowed the others to run about....

Rodger won't learn the lesson though.... no way....

    Lallana is done after this.

  9. Especially when you've had a joke of a preseason. We won't see the trite team for four or five weeks imo

No credit to Stoke at all here?

    They were not bad...

Mingolet asked Rodgers for a forward to suit his game... it all makes sense now..... he catches on and firmino is off and the guy never looks... hangs on... kicks from and and fails to get it out of his own half.....

    Over all....

    Mingolet 6
    Clyne 6
Skertl 6 (too deep playing them onside)
Lovern 7. Did ok for me
Gomez 6... got schooled second half.
Milner 6.. being kind due to work rate.
    Henderson 6
Ibe 7. But needs to deliver faster
    Lallana 4
Coutinho 6 for goal. Poor effort imo
    Benteke 10.. I love the man :emoticon-0152-heart

Firmino came on too late but looked lively but I don't think he's got into systems etc yet.

Jaysus, not great to watch but excellent 3 points. Clean sheet. This was a good test on the first game. The away games just get harder from here for the next few games.

There hoofing and hoofing to an isolated player and not running off him.

    We did poorly there

Was very strange, not sure anyone could work out what was expected from them so we kept getting into attacking positions and chipping to benteke from 10 yards away! Was bizarre...

Glad he had the sense to put Can on, he has to start next game - such a mature player for his age, got a lot to his game off the ball as well as on

Clyne and Gomez appear to have added a bit more balance to it, which at least decreases the workload for the CBs. Lovren looked relatively solid.
