    Disappointed by what I've seen so far lads, and the new signings seem to have taken this squad further from the direction you were heading in when you finished second. From pacey, pressing football with counter-attacking threat, to this turgid ****. I know Rodgers doesn't want a repeat of last season, but the team needs to be showing more than this. Sincerely hope Firmino and Ings can have an impact for you, but I reckon they're championship standard to be honest.

    Ibe doesn't seem that good, although perhaps in comparison with Sterling it was always going to be difficult for him, but Gomez looks a cracking young player.
