My first thought was "how is this racist?" Is is this just the Aussies pissed of at being destryed in the Ashes so they are lashing out at anything English? Then I thought is calling Australians Aussies racist? I refer to my Scottish mate as Scotty - is that racist too? Bugger do I know anymore. Anyone here subscribed to the Sun or on twitter or facebook or whatever - can you send this article to them asking if this is racist too.
Its not so much the orgy for me, its that one of the young players said "slit eye" during, now that is a racist slur. If Vardy had seen someone of asian origin and said "chink" then they would be in the same field. I think clubs will always defend players that have value to a club. Look at Suarez, look at Terry, look at Johnson. Its very easy to dismiss youth players that have little value, as their discrepencies damage the club more than they are contributing to it. Is it fair, no. I certainly dont put them on the same level, but if the owners feel that it is offensive, they may ask for him to apologise, cause at the end of the day, its the owners that will have the best interest of the club and its relationships to take care of, so they will take any action they deem appropriate.

If someone called me a white **** & I reported it I´d be laughed at or done for wasting police time. Funny we only hear the stories that are against non whites. Hmmm didn't the Sun once run a headline about "Swedes and Turnips" when we lost to Sweden? ... Sensationalism and an easy target for cheap journalism ... If the guy was attempting to look at Vardy's cards it would obviously have been far more acceptable to call him a 'cheating ****' ... If hinji Okazaki has a problem with it I'm sure him and Vardy will talk about it like grown ups before moving on ...
So as I'm understanding this, The Sun have used a word in numerous headlines & deemed it perfectly acceptable language, suitable to be published in a national newspaper. An individual has used the same word & they are now running a story considering it to be racism.

Hes been quick to apologise, so i'd expect little will be done about it, maybe a fine, nothing that will upset too much.
Vardy has apologised, the club should remind him of his responsibilities and we move on. I don't see Jap as a racist word myself and don't think Vardy said it with any intention of it being racist
If Vardy was a black player, they wouldn't have run with this, usual white bashing ****e as I've said.
I would assume the internal investigation would bring any issues he would have and resolve them if necc, but hes a professional at the end of the day, im sure hes been called much worse from the stands.
