Cech should've saved the 2nd but wtf were Merte and Kos doing? They let him shoot, didn't even run towards the ball. Kouyate, an obvious physical threat is allowed to get in front of the whole defence.

Merte said that Cech's signing has made our defence calmer and more composed. They were all bloody asleep today!

Also, I believe we have only won one opening game match in 5 years. We obviously have problems with motivation and our preparation.

Palace away looking pretty tricky now, they have signed some decent players and our confidence is going to be pretty low. Probably a draw.

Wenger blamed the World Cup last year, this year he has no excuses.

This game should act as a wake up call. People have been tipping us to challenge Chelsea this season and we've just been done by West Ham at home, no excuses now. This team have got what it takes, they need to prove to everybody that they hype is justified.

Oh and where was Bellerin? Debuchy offers **** all going forward, while his defending may not be rock solid, Bellerin offers us serious pace and a proper attacking threat going forward.

Not here to take the piss but how did you play so badly to an average team when you have the likes of Ozil, Walcott, Sanchez, Ramsey, Ox etc?
22 attempts but only 6 on target is not good considering your fire power.
Can not believe how poor you were in both boxes...apart from the 2 goalkeeping mistakes west ham created other better chances.
Like I said ... not taking the piss as I think we are in for a difficult season as we are so inconsistent and so short of attacking flair.

Well Sanchez is barely fit, seeing as he only returned from his holiday on Tuesday, and the others were utter ****, pretty simple really.

yeah, thanks to refs disallowing blatantly legitimate goals and then awarding you soft penalties. We're also a better side than last years almost relegation fodder, it's a shame we didn't play Oxford when he was 15, he'd probably still have bossed your show-ponies.

It's very worrying. Best attacking threat was Oxo - at least he has the balls to have a shot and take people on.
Ramsey. Ozil and Cazorla are essentially the same players. I don't think we can afford to have all 3 on from the start. In current form I'd leave Aaron out or not shove him on the wing.
We desperately need another option. At the moment our route to goal is to endlessly cross it to Giroud. If that doesn't work we're just hoping Alexis can dig us out. There's no guarantee he'll do that again this year.

We can still challenge for the league this season. It isn't over after 1 game. But I'm hoping that this game acts as a swift boot up the arse and we put it right next week. We have two tough games coming up now palace away and Liverpool at home. If we get 6 points from those two then it's back on. Admittedly it doesn't look good after today, but you can't write the team off after one game.

LOL you're funny, one win and all of a sudden you think you're great. Our 'show ponies' consistently beat your ass, and finish above you, if you're so hard, why haven't you been able to finish above us just once, since God knows when?

Seriously? Your team have just beaten us away for the first time in 9 years, your team performed very well and you're on here trying to wind people up? **** off and go celebrate with your other West Ham friends. You must live a very sad life if the first thing you've done after the game was to try and take the piss out of us.

Write them off to do what? I never expected them to win the league, so there is that. Also we seriously ain't winning no league titles with Giroud and Walcott as our CF's.

LOL, the only piss-taking I did was the newspaper headline, will you complain to the papers about it when either 'dodgy Cech' or 'Dud Cech' appear tomorrow?
As to sad lives, fortunately I have a sense of humour, something you seem to be lacking.

Sense of humour? No-one finds you funny. Nothing you've said has even been remotely humorous.

You won, congrats, now go have your day in the sun and **** off <ok>

    Totally this.

Wenger messed up with his tactics. Last year you had sanchez on the wing who is a worldy who opens up a lot of space.

Replace him with oxo and shoving cazorla onto the wing was what went wrong at the beginning of last season. When you have ramsay cazorla ozil giroud with ozil and ramsay in the middle you guys struggle.

Coquelin isnt a great passer of the ball and ramsay who i rate cannot be trusted to do the simple stuff and dictate play. Yes he can get involved but he prefers to be further up.

Again ozil doesnt do what cazorla does and that is to dictate play. No idea why wenger chucked him left wing

To be fair. If I was a West Ham fan, I'd be here lapping it up too. Sometimes you just have to take it on the chin <ok>

Cazorla is best in that deep lying role alongside Coquelin, with Ozil/Ramsey just ahead of him. Sanchez, Giroud and Walcott/Oxo up front. I can see why Wenger tried to fit them in to his formation today, but it didn't work. Hopefully Sanchez will start next week and Ozil will move to the centre
