    Cheick looked like a sunday league player today. Carrying beef and looking sluggish.

    The substitutions really disrupted our play. Wiji might have been knackered. I honestly think De Jong looks slow!

    Good point I guess but I really did hope we would see that out. Our left hand side needs some work.

    Quite a good game to watch. Thought we lost our shape badly when Tiote came on. Wijnaldum also seemed to fill that gap well between striker and midfield and we missed that when he went off.

    I'll settle for that. Always disappointing not to win when you've led, but lots of encouraging signs against a good Southampton team.

    Disappointing to concede..but more football on display in 90 minutes compared to the whole of last season

    The most encouraging thing for me was the way we played football. Some really encouraging passages of play in there. And that run and header from Wij!!!!

    Plus we have three debuts out the way and the team has an extra 90 mins under their belt of getting to know each other and the manager's style of football.

    Colback was immense today, lets hope he cracks on this season in a team where he doesn't have to carry the midfield and worry about a hopeless defense. I can see why SDJ wasn't started, he was anonymous and obviously still not quite fit.
    Mbemba looked pretty good overall, though not great for the first goal.

    I'd have probably taken that going into the unknown prior to KO. Having been in front a bit dissapointed not to see it out. Saints are a good side though with a very good manager so all in all I think we have got to be ok with the point. Basically a lot better than expected following pre season.
