    Firmino has never played in the league so it's hard to call. You've compared him to an awful player though so as long as he's got two feet, there's a chance he's better.

    Milner is the stand out signing tbh. By some distance.

    I agree that Milner has probably been our best business to be honest. Quite a shrewd signing that is pretty much guaranteed to be a success


    But Firminho has lit up the German League for the last 2 seasons and is now a starter for Brazil (more often than not)... So I should imagine he'll adapt very well - he also has a high work rate that's perfect for the PL. My guess is he'll be a very good signing.

    Yeah but imagine going from a Jurgen Klopp high pressing side playing as an advanced midfielder to playing in a team that plays 4-4-2 and puts you out wide and makes you spend most of the game tracking back.

    With the other scores this weekend (i'm hoping WHam hold on ) makes it even more important to get a win today . I'm not really bothered about performances in the early part of season it's just about picking up points while integrating new players in squad and getting everyone clar about their role in the preferred formation(s)

    Gomez at lb... Given pre season it's fair enough choice.

    Bit gutted Can isn't playing but then again maybe a lack of pre season is the reason

    It's a good team with options on the bench, Hendo and Milner need to get it right in there and hold the midfield.

    Rodgers really doesn't like Sakho, does he? Lovren is tosh. Even looking at his stats is misleading, it's not how bad he is, it's also how bad he makes everyone else around him with his flapping and panic

    I'd rather have Sakho and Lucas on the bench though so that we can change to a more defensive formation if needed.
