Thing is, we've had some fantastic banter on that site. No nastiness, no toys thrown out of pram, just good old honest fun.
For a long time, they used to rip the piss out of you, mate (and a few of the other more "anal" types on your board), but you're mainly a forgotten entity, now. I think what happened was, when the big split came, most of the witty and intellectual Gooners deserted your board and you got left with the out-and-out ****wits. That's certainly how it came across to me.
Like I said, it would come across like that to you because your in the same camp and also talk a lot of bollocks
Well, I can promise you, that if it had been the other way round, and you and your not-so-merry band of ****wits had deserted, and those who did desert had stayed, your board would be a lot more inclusive than it is, and it would be a fun place to visit, with no childish bannings. That said, your board, when it is in meltdown, is pure comedy gold, and I love sneaking on there to have a giggle. I'm not sure that I could give that up, now.
HIAG I read your posts alot I find what you do funny and I kinda respect u in a weird way. But serious question now would you say spurs have been more successful then arsenal in the last 10 years ? Yes or no answer please
Given our constraints - wage-ceiling, smaller ground, lack of a proper academy, etc - I'd say that, comparatively, we've been just as successful as Arsenal. It's a loaded question, of course, because in factual terms, any fool and his dog can see that Arsenal has won more than Spurs, and has consistently maintained a higher league position, so in absolute terms, clearly Arsenal has been the more successful club. But I don't think that that is the entire story. Football is like motor racing, in that the more money you have the more likely you are to dominate those who have less money. When we've got our new stadium, and now as we see the fruits of our new academy coming through, I cannot see that that will be any difference between our two clubs.
Lack of a proper academy? People on your board are rather sycophantically chirping about how the team is being built around brilliant youth prospects. If only Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal didn't hoover up every teenager that can kick a ball twenty yards, a few more might make it. Is Dean Parrett still alive?
All the people that left out board for that site were complete and utter tools, they used to actually like it when we lost a game so they could rant, and claim they were right all the time, even got to the point where they wanted us to lose, what sort of fan wants your own club to lose? They were aggressive twats, that hothead guy asked me to meet up with him for a fight because I disagreed with him, another internet warrior, he's probably on this site as a guest watching us, as that what they usually do, infact there will probably be a thread on their site about this thread that the type of people HIAG is bigging up her people, By the way HIAG, you do realise they only invited you to the site because they wanted someone to take the piss out of, and give them a laugh.
It's interesting how people try to justify things to themselves to always make it look like they were in the right and everyone else was in the wrong. For my own part, I always found those who deserted you to be good fun, level-headed, and extremely witty. My take on the breakdown between the two factions (the ****wits, here, on one hand, and those sterling chaps on the new site, on the other) was that, towards the end, the sterling chaps were saying increasingly outrageous things in order to wind your lot up. I was able to detect the pathos in many of their comments, whereas the ****wits clearly could not and took everything at face-value.
