It's almost touching the way you relentlessly make up policies and statements on behalf of the supporters' trust - but there's really no need, thanks anyway.
If you think there are any policies or statements on behalf of anyone in that, you should probably stay away from computers. And people.
I know I've suggested this and similar previously on here, but out of interest, where do these other discussions take place? I've had a look in a few places including Facebook and twitter but can't seem to find it. It could be interesting to see what people are discussing.
I sent a message with a suggestion. I'd assume other people also send in messages suggesting different ideas & the elected committee will then discuss these various ideas at their meetings & decide whether to progress them or not.
When he says "our members" he means him, Gretton and PMT, plus maybe a couple of others have met in a pub. Obviously not in the ground, PMT is boycotting the KC.
We get emails, tweets and posts on Facebook, some are conversations, but many are just suggestions we are sent, often generated by our weekly newsletters. Even stuff like our 'ambition and tradition' strap line was a suggestion from a member.
Aye, I've made similar suggestions on here too. It's just it's been mentioned before about members discussing views, so I'd be interested to see the discussions, rather than just a lost of suggestions that are accepted or rejected. I'm sure people could add to some ideas, or offer to help in some way. I'm just curious to see what others are discussing and how they turn into action, or not as the case may be.
Ah right, no wonder I couldn't find them. My mistake. I'd assumed there were places where these things were discussed and enlarged upon by members as opposed to the committee. I must have misunderstood some of the other replies. Do you think it could be a good thing to do that and give credit to the source of some of these ideas.
I never mentioned the committee discussing anything. If people want to discuss things with us on any social media, or forum, they're able to do so, it's hardly a secret who we are. I get dozens of PM's with suggestions on here, as Ben has suggested, I'm not really sure why they prefer PM's to posting them on the board. Maybe it's because some of them are best done quietly, or maybe it's just because they know there's a handful of posters (the usual suspects) who'll just take a pop at whatever those suggestions are. We always credit those who come up with stuff, including the 'ambition and tradition' example that I gave.
My view is that suggestions & ideas are best sent direct to The Trust for discussion by them in the first instance. I'd never offer an idea or suggestion on here for discussion prior to sending it to The Trust. The Trust has an elected committee who I believe are the best people in place to make all decisions on which suggestions & ideas to progress. If people feel they have the time & skills to offer help to any of the Trust's ongoing projects then they are, again, best, in my opinion, contacting The Trust directly to volunteer their time & maybe become part of a sub group or sub-committee. I discuss various things with other trust members but this is usually done socially or with friends on social media.
I think you've highlighted what I see as a key element. The committee are not the Trust, they're there to represent the members and reflect their views. In my opinion, singular suggestions being arbitrated on in the background isn't as representative as open suggestions and discussion forming a concensus. I'm not really sure why there seems to be a tendency to present the committee view, rather than actively seeking opinion and comment. They're not infallible and I'm sure there'd be some bright innovative ideas and also people pointing out areas of improvement before they become official. None of that precludes people sending their thoughts in on the quiet, (we've seen the abuse hurled at anyone with a different perspective on here), but that should be the exception, not the norm. I also must have misread some earlier comments, as I read them as implying the discussions were more public. I would have thought this board was a reasonable place to float ideas and garner the strength of feeling. It could even help recruitment, and involvement, which should be an aim of a supporters group.
Count me in, now there's a shirt I'll be happy to wear. Will you also print on kids shirts, ages 2-4? When are we able to order them?
We're doing home and away, adults and kids, you can order them now from the trust website(though the away will take several weeks, as it's not available until the 15th).
If you don't like a bit of banter on a public forum, **** off to your own. It might come as a surprise to you but this is not your forum. ****.
Why would I? Don't you agree this is an open forum? Are any threads off bounds for people? Doesn't almost every thread on here end up either about the Allams or off topic? Just because you pair of ****s are in HCST doesn't mean you can have your own little love in threads. I appreciate a HCST forum would be dull and pointless but if you want to post ****e on here, expect to be questioned and mocked when appropriate. The funny thing is I think, and said, the sewing by OLM was a good idea. I made a joke your ****ing chairman should think is hilarious as just bantz yet you two precious twats get all excited about it. No one tells you two etc etc
As is increasingly becoming the case, I don't have a bloody clue what you're on about. I just thought it was ****ing embarrassing you doing the 'just banter' thing when confronted about your earlier post.
