Bloody hell. Has he ever been fit? What's his longer run of games?

It's frustrating more than anything. Wilshere is getting constant injuries which is keeping him from playing a long run of games. I'm sure it's damaging his development and standing in the team. Ramsey was fortunate for having a less competitive midfield to break into the team after his major injury, Wilshere has a much harder task.

Rumours that Gabriel caused the injury in training and that he subsequently received a number of death threats as a result. Arsenal fans are a pathetic bunch sometimes.

Does anyone know how much Wilshere is paid to sit on the sidelines?

Also it's more of a blow to Wilshere himself than us. We still have Cazorla,Ramsey,Coquelin, Arteta and even the OX to fill those CM spots. But for Wilshere this was a big season and he had to prove himself and try and break into our first team by staying fit and he has failed.

True we are lucky we've got so much depth, it's more a long term loss for us as the longer we have to wait for him to get fully fit and on form, the longer we miss out on him performing like Ramsey.

Big shame. Has this been confirmed by Wenger though. A few days ago he said a 'few' weeks?

Wilshere's ability to carry the ball makes him an excellent option for us. Currently he doesn't quite make my first choice 11 but 9/10 times he's our most useful substitution. As he can carry the ball out of tight positions which makes him extremely useful on the counter attack.

He really needs a full Season without injury to reach his potential though.

Apparently Wilshere is out for 4 weeks as opposed to 8

At least until 4 weeks go by and he'll be set back by another 2 months...

According to Arsene his last 3 injuries have all been unrelated. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. Obviously it's positive that a bad injury doesn't keep getting worse but is he just frail all over?

Wenger is confident he's toughening up! Time will tell I guess, I think he still has a huge part to play. I'd have loved to see his energy and drive against West Ham rather than the insipid second half we all witnessed.

I like the pic, so hope he doesn't turn out to be another Diaby! But I thought Wenger had said his latest injury was caused by a weakness where the pins had been removed from his ankle (basically the 'hole' where the pins were hadn't healed properly).

Personally I think Jack should be forced to drink gallons of milk to strengthen his bones! :)
