get your hand in your ****ing pocket and buy some ****ing good players. Stop buying ****e for 2 million. You have spent nowt and you are conning nobody. The club has been a shambles since you got shot of Quinny. We are heading for the championship on your watch. Wake up.
It's not his job to find the players. That's why we employ scouts, directors of football, managers etc. Other teams some how find the right players so why can't sunderland. DA must of been promised money to stay here so where is it? We need to spend another 20 mil million on a striker and a midfielder. Unless the extra money just went in DA contract.
No panic yet. We usually avoid relegation despite forfeiting the first game. But, must we consider (as they said half jokingly on radio commentary) that a home game against Norwich in mid August should now be thought of as a crucial 6 pointer? KTF and sending Mrs A the flowers. As long as Dicks here in may and makes sure his never been relegated record is intact
yes but he has spent an awful lot on buying lots of £3 -£5 million not good enough players. He has gone for quantity not quality. Our club smacks of bad leadership. A man who really doesn't know what he's doing. Bri' I think we are desperate for 2 quality central midfielders, one of which has to be creative. Proven quality if possible. I know that we can't do it on the cheap. I asked this before, have we won a game when starting cattermole, Larson and Rodwell? I know we won't be winning many if it continues. It's clear lense will need a little time to adapt, hopefully m'vila will be ready for next week.
I'm hoping that it's part of Dicks master plan to get Ellis to dig deep. He sounded a broken man on sky after one game!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33836969 If he doesnt get the players in I can see him buggering off!
i think he's pretty much inferred that in his press conferences. i.e. we're not good enough and need 2-3 next level players in midfield/attack. i do wonder how far away M'Villa is from starting.
M'vila seemed to say he was looking forward to playing Leicester. Dick said he wasn't match fit. hoping Ellis proves me wrong and splashes the cash.
Well M'Vila is one, an attacking minded cm and a striker is what Dick wants, problem is the selling clubs may not be ready to sell. Negociation may be tricky, but surley we all want the right player rather than any player. We all know what we need mate, me, you, dick, Congerton and I don't doubt Ellis has heard the lot of us and knows full well, but we need to respect our club enough to let them finish our business, before kicking off. If we don't get them I'll join you, I will kick off, like I did lest season. But in the meantime we all shouldn't be cutting time off our life expectancy going mental and stressing. Let the Little General do that for us mate,
Its upsetting that we have been in the Premier League for a while now and this has been common knowledge for a large chunk of that period. We have never rectified the problems. In the meantime teams like Swansea, Stoke, Southampton, West Brom and Palace have advanced greatly and gone wizzing past us in such a short amount of time. They seem to make it look like a doddle whilst we trudge along from one crisis to another. I'm not deluded enough to suggest that we should be well clear of relegation every season. What I do expect is to not have to watch my club from through my fingers every bleeding week like as though I am watching a combination of Frank Spencer, Norman Wisdom and the Three Stooges playing headers and volleys.
I'm sorry Tony, but Short freed up the money - he didn't spend it. Bent, Gyan, Rodwell, Johnson were all £10m+ to buy and we broke the British transfer record for a goalkeeper when Gordon came. Just those came to £48 million, so it's no good blaming Short. I agree that we've bought a load of average players who weren't good enough to take us any higher than we already were. But it's other people who have done the buying. When Bruce brought in nine or ten players one summer, picking up scraps from relegated sides, we can't blame the man with the purse-strings - the money was there, and Bruce spent it badly. If we'd spent the same money on, say, three higher class players, we wouldn't be where we are now. Same with O'Neill, Poyet, &co. Do you see what I mean? .
Totally agree mate. By concern is that ES is running the wrong business model. Running any sporting concern isn't like your normal commercial concern. To some degree, you have to speculate to accumulate in this game. Dick will be knocking on Ellis's door before the weekend is over to remind him of that. I'm still confident of mid-table in 10 months time.
Am I the only one who is confused by these statements? If he isn;t match fit this week, how will he be match fit next week? Surely the longer you go, the worse the condition becomes. Yet at international level, Andros Townsend hardly plays for Spurs, yet goes straight into Englands starting line-up !?
