As Cedric said, players like playing competitive games, because they prefer that to extra training sessions. Why the sly smile when Ronald's injury was mentioned....surely the players can't be making jokes about it behind his back.
Stekelenberg Cedric, Fonte, Yoshida, Targett Davis Wanyama Clasie Tadic Pelle Mane Think it will be 1-1.
I predicted 2-2 in the Prediction League but the one thing I hate about being a Saints fan and the start of the new season, even after the last two seasons, is that I still have that impending feeling of dread for the game. Deep down I somehow think things won't go our way. It's too many barren and poor years I suppose
So despite the fact that Ron has his foot in plaster the Express seem to think he has a hamstring injury. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/597073/Ronald-Koeman-Brother-Southampton-Newcastle
Ridiculously, in an earlier article, available below your linked one Tom, they correctly report Ronald rupturing his Achilles Tendon. So the Express doesn't read its own articles for reference. Which speaks volumes for their professionalism.
The old feelings reappear in full force as soon as we kick off, though I am more confident now that we can hold onto a lead.
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/arti...ackmore-saints-upcoming-campaign-2604318.aspx Adam Blackmore's view of the season (from the OS). They call it the media's POV, but I wouldn't say that Blackmore is neutral and it is very positive.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 Mail article about JWP and how he hopes for more first team starts and a chance to get an England call up. The next two years are critical for James...he has talents and is admired inside and outside Saints, but he needs to step up that extra 10%...perhaps score the goals that his talents suggest he is capable of. Be a great shame if he should be yet another promising youngster that never quite cut the mustard.
Why do footballers have silly haircuts? Why do some boys not buy a belt to hold their trousers up and why don't young women repair their trousers when the knees get torn? Modern life is very strange. I have some braces in my wardrobe and the very lovely Mrs Godders is a dab hand at patching my trousers and darning my socks. Make do and mend is my motto. I can remember my mother unpicking the pullover that I had grown out of and then knitting a short sleeve jumper for me from the wool.
I very recently found the crocheted waist coat my grandmother had made me she I was 4 or 5. Kept it in the loft. Couldn't bring myself to unlock that, but perhaps Mrs Godders could unpick it and make some woolly handcuffs from it?
