Not bad for 1.3 million. Many were underwhelmed

I still want a creative midfielder, that's why we went down and we weren't much of a threat the first half of the game. Upfront it's looking better, but they need more service than just the flanks with Elmo.

No idea, I am a Match Day Threader until the Allams go. I did see him in the flesh last season many times so would hazard a guess that he is a better striker than Gray

Clucas and Akpom seemed to have a good start, let's hope that is continuing rather than just false hope like last season. A new midfielder to spark things could help them continue.

Snodgrass may take a bit to get back to his best though, long term injuries are always a bit of a worry so I'd like another option. I'd love Diame to be back but I'm not sure he'll play for us again even if he gets back to some fitness.

I'll second that. I couldn't stand a whole season listening to "Swanny" and Burns. I'd forgotten just how terrible they are after two years of watching TV. If it wasn't for watching game replays during the week I'd probably cancel my Tiger Player subscription. Today they were truly HORRIBLE!!

Taylor was useless. Clucas grew into the game he looks promising, slow but great feet and balance. Hayden showed some good touches but the game just passed him by for the most part, was hardly involved, think our game would hve flowed better with Meyler who's always in the thick of it. Akpom, well, Roo and Dan Kelly are gonna ****ing love him, and not because he looks like he should score a bucket load over the season. If it's possible to be more Aluko than Aluko, it's Akpom.

Almost a full away end. Probably 2000 give or take.

Id almost forgotten what's it's like to be watching City for the last 30 minutes of a game without a sense of creeping dread.

    Promising start.

    Played well
Akpom was a handful but a bit lightweight and too happy to fall over. Having said that a few competitive games under his belt and he could be very very good
Hudds seemed to play a bit higher up the pitch, first half anyway, which was good
Clucas was good, seemed to want to ball
Taylor was ok going forward, but early second half they clearly targeted him because he seemed to come forward so was easy to play past round the corner
Hayden was very good, looked comfortable but needs proper studs
McGregor was good, particularly on crosses
    etc

akpom looks a right handful they kicked lumps out of him as well !! he will deffo play in the prem league in the future i reckon took his goal brilliantly i can see him getting a fair few for us !! we had fraizer campbell when he was around the same age but akpom looks better !! hayden had a decent first half hes got a good pass on him but a bit quieter 2nd half !! they both look great additions and the game time they are going to get is going to mean they come back to you better players ! thank arsene for the loans !!

Jelavic was quite **** really; game passed him by. Akpom looked good, Hayden was okay but a bit shaky at times, Clucas played well and is comfortable on the ball and Taylor seemed a little off the pace but was okay in general. Can't wait to see Odubajo play. Hopefully, we can sign Gray and someone like Whittingham or failing that, Maloney. I'd get rid of Jelavic, Hernandez and N'Doye as it's clear none of them want to be here.
