And at least our goal difference hasnt taken as much of a hammering. I would have settled for +5 at half time.

Well I'll wait to the window closes before I judge the business and Short. I may be pissed off, I maybe pleasantly surprised. But I don't think judging it now is fair.

Best way of looking at it. At the end of the day, you can only really judge any club once we get to 1st September.

I am a saddo (not obsessed) person who watches your games when Newcastle aren't playing and I think, although feel free to correct me, that you defend better as a unit with JOS in the team. He has the leadership qualities I think you lack at the back.

    Van the
We scored two,if Dick gets us scoring, two more signings and get the defence sorted we will be fine. No need to panic, beat Norwich we will be mid-table.

Put in any more disjointed performances between now and then and Short and co. are gonna struggle to attract anybody anywhere near the calibre that we desperately need.

You don't seem to understand the intricacy of the transfer window, it's not a case of just getting people in before the start of the season, the right players at the right price and the clubs you're trying to buy from(most who require cover before moving players out) don't subscribe to such a fairy tale Ideal. Well the sign the players we need at a time it becomes possible to carry out the transfers. It's not football manager, there's a chain in place for players, middle men, lawyers and multiple negotiation stages. That's the reality. .

He is also a human being mate, I'm being polite here like I said, we can all do the verbal garbage but you owe that lad an apology? He was born in York btw and believe me, an apology would show the new matured dad!!

The window should open at the end of the season and close at the start.

<laugh> He isn't a dad. I suspect, like everything else he says, he is bullshitting. If he is a dad...... Heaven help the kid <yikes>.

I don't think there should be a window however that is a different conversation altogether.

Everyone needs to remember what it was like to be young and get seriously affected by football results. I caused many quids worth of damage in my teenage years <laugh> The lad just needs to cool off for a bit.

M'Vila will help us retain the ball and take the pressure off the defence. At the moment the defense know everything that goes out is coming straight back, in a game like today where the opponents played at a high tempo and press high they were always going to struggle.

I smashed a laptop because of a wayward pass by Sissoko last season... I was 27!

Transfer window all year round? Gives a massively unfair advantage to teams with money and makes it impossible for managers of the non-top 4/5 to plan?

*Doubt the SUnderland lads will mind this thread going a bit OT. <laugh>

Agree but if we are waiting for the Sky cheque to arrive then it is for me not much different to Bob Murray. You see the flaws, I do too but it seems like a constant nightmare to get the man to invest. Personally I don't think we will ever be surprised by Ellis Short, just my opinion mind and I have shouted it out for a good 2 years now..<ok>

<laugh> Sissoko is enough to frustrate any person to be fair. Should be absolutely immense but is just a lazy, heartless prick!

I was going to a start a thread saying it's probably a good thing but I bottled it. Dick has all the ammo he needs to press his desires further. We may have to give up a couple of mil here and there to get our targets over the line. But the need has never been clearer.
