So the season starts tomorrow, and we all hope its a successful one. But also something else starts tomorrow as well, and that is the sack race, here are the odds Quique Flores and Brendan Rodgers, both at 5-1 Dick Advocaat and Manuel Pellegrini at 7-1 Tim Sherwood and Slaven Bilic at 15-2 Claudio Ranieri at 8-1.
I go with Musty after thursdays display there are already murmurings about him ! Rodgers has to have a magnificent start to keep his job till xmas imo .
With close to £300 million spent Rodgers must hit the ground running this season. If it's going tits up after 10 games he will be gone, especially with Jurgen Klopp a free agent atm.
Slaven Bilić - Good players don't necessarily make good managers and he's proof of this, useless. Unbelievable that the Wammers went for him in the first place. Brendan Rodgers - Will try desperately not to rock the boat but he starts the season teetering at the absolute edge of the plank, ooo errr Brendan. One tiny slip and he's gone.
No pressure Brendan...but with seven new recruits and the best part of £80m spent this summer Liverpool chairman Tom Werner says "we expect to see a strong improvement" after last season's sixth-placed finish. "We do believe Brendan is the right man for Liverpool and the right man to take the club forward. When we hired Brendan we wanted to see improvement. Hopefully when we have a conversation in a year's time he will have demonstrated and the squad will have demonstrated that we've regained top form again."
Well I think they are going to struggle again this season, and with Dick Advocaat being one of the favourites to go, things could get messy if things get off badly, today I would say is bad
