Did they say how long it'll be till he's fit?

Your lineup seems more likely than mine.

Agree with all you write except I cannot see JBG and Cousins playing as wingers (at least I hope not). A diamond looks a better fit.

I'm sure I read somewhere earlier in the week that Cousins said he was happy to play out on the left in the first few games which makes me think it will be this formation. I agree though - a diamond would be better! :emoticon-0148-yes:

Not expecting us to win despite being slight favourites. On paper our starting XI should be pretty good assuming Austin plays but the only other striker in the squad is Polter from the German second division so a bit of an unknown. The defence is light, too, although Konchesky helps. It'll be either Onuoha and Perch with Furlong, a youth player, at right-back or Perch at right-back with Clint Hill plodding on in the middle. Either way I'd expect this new striker of yours to cause us some problems.

I'd like to think our midfield will be good enough to control the game between the two boxes as that's our strength, in theory, but I don't trust our team at either end of the pitch.

I've held off posting on this until as late as possible, in hope to be positive. After dagenham, I see us playing Bauer and diarra at the back, now with fox a certainty at LB.

That scares me. After a poor pre season where we didn't field a consistent line up, no matter what questions remain over qpr I see a victory for them. As a betting man, I'm going btts draw. But my head tells me:

    0:2

    Obviously hope I'm horrible wrong.

How do you think you'll fair this season Watford-R. Been a high turnover?

Doubt we'll trouble the top six much as there seems to be some really good teams having a proper go this year.

Mid-table I expect. There has been a high turnover but it's a young squad now thankfully. We are woefully short up front if Austin goes.

Chris Ramsay doesn't look like a manager to me. Rabbit trapped in the headlights. We had a similar scenario with an over promoted coach in Les Reed. Thoughts ?

Only reason why I'm backing us, Luzon seems to have higher win %, plus Ramsey has not won away at all. Will the curse continue for the QPR fans? Watford_R, have you sold out, or many not coming?

    To answer the two above:

Ramsey has a great rep as a coach and seems very popular with the players. It was a pretty impossible job Redknapp left him with with a squad full of holes. Not saying he did as well as he could either but there were so many games at home particularly we deserved something and lost by a goal.

He has won away- at Sunderland in his first game and at West Brom. Our home record was very poor though when he took over.

I know, didn't realise till I saw it; and yet the guy is super unpopular at Liege and us.

In other news: Wonder if we're going to even have a full house, or people able to come along, what with the current season ticket debacle. I've not seen it, but heard that there was a queue of over an hour if you went this lunchtime.

I called twice at work, was on hold for 15 minutes first time then had to go back to work, tried again on lunch break and took another 15 minutes to get through, have to collect my ticket tomorrow before game, they advised strongly to arrive earlier than usual as they are expecting long queues

Afternoon all, been a while since I posted :) Hope you all been good.

Not seen any pre season so cant judge the new players but I was excited when we signed Bauer. He can shut out Charlie Austin hopefully and we get a sneaky
1-0 win with a Gudmundsson free kick.

    Watt's with this starting 11?

Surely this is not our strongest side to start the season with

I'm updating lineups at traffic lights. Just set off. Charlie Austin is starting.

For QPR that is; what with our list of in players, if you're getting confused
