Charlton Athletic v QPR - Preview
It all beings again - Queens Park Rangers travel to the Valley to open their 2015-16 Championship campaign.

The transformation in the summer has been noticeable - a shift from high-earners to young, hungry players with something to prove.

In Tjaronn Chery, Massimo Luongo and Ben Gladwin in particular, Rangers have a midfield trio with their eyes set on getting a strong season under their belts.

They face a Charlton side undergoing a transformation of their own under Guy Luzon - looking to shake off the perennial relegation tag and push their way up the league.

The last time the two sides met, the Addicks pipped a pitiful Rangers at the Valley - can the Rs turn the tables and pick up a first maximum in front of a capacity travelling crowd?
    The Low-Down
Charlton have won their last four opening day games at the Valley.

QPR have won four of their last six league games against Charlton (D1 L1).

Charlton used four keepers last season, a joint-league high along with Blackburn.

This is the first time QPR have started a season away from home since 2007/08. The last time they won away from home on the opening day was back in 1987/88 at West Ham.

The Addicks lost their last home game last season 3-0 to Bournemouth. They`ve not lost consecutive games at the Valley since April 2014.

The Hoops have conceded 16 goals across their last four away games - an average of four per game.

QPR have only kept one clean sheet in their last 26 league games on the road (excl. play-offs).

    Charlton Athletic Team News:
Henderson is out with a shoulder injury, while forward Igor Vetokele has a muscle injury and midfielder Franck Moussa is unavailable.

    Possible line up:
    POPE

    BAUER - SARR - MORGAN

    SOLLY - COUSINS - DIARRA - GUDMUNDSSON - FOX

    WATT - MAKIENOK
    Player to watch: Jordan Cousins
Jordan Cousins made more league appearances than any other Charlton player last term (44).

    QPR Team News:
QPR could include new defender Grant Hall after his move from Tottenham, along with striker Charlie Austin.

    Possible line up:
    GREEN

    PERCH - HILL - ONUOHA - KONCHESKY

    FAURLIN - LUONGO

    PHILLIPS - CHERY - GLADWIN

    AUSTIN
    Player to watch: Tjaronn Chery
Tjaronn Chery was one of only five players with 20+ goals and assists in the Eredivisie last season.

Look on the bright side. Plenty of time for them to call the whole thing off.

Don't let it concern you ................. we'll either have already won automatic promotion or relegation, depending on which way your thinking.

Where's my consolation? Oh, yeah, there isn't any.
The worse thing is that they are football fans, the groom has been to LR with me five times and has a QPR flag on his wall, and the groom was over with us for the Leicester game last season.
    THEY HAVE NO LEGITIMATE EXCUSE!
