My Dad worked at Scrubs when they filmed the opening scene of the first episode of Minder, when Terry got out after his stretch - came home with signed pics of them both - thought that was amazing (was only about 8 or 9 so anything showbiz was magical!)

That's true. The boy actually made a decent fist of it but its rarely the same when a perfect cast is split up. One exception that springs to mind is Uncle Albert taking over from Granddad in Only Fools. He slipped into that role very well
I loved Dennis W in Minder but he is an embarrassment in this New Tricks ****, retire gracefully Dennis FFS
,,,agree, especially has he only came into pro acting very very late. He was doing am drams, almost prior to getting that role I believe.
