Don't worry Dan. It is the conversation that makes it. You are just providing the vehicle for it. It is snowing here, at the moment.
Old habits die hard. Friday nights I have often watched Chateauroux playing via a stream, but no more as they were relegated last season. Had a look at the Ligue 2 stream, and the level is still very poor. Switched to Brighton v Forest when that started and some much better standard being played. I wonder what it will be like tomorrow. Cricfree.sx are advertising the game, but as we know it doesn't always happen.
My uncle died last year and his 70th birthday would have been next Saturday. My aunt wants a big family meal and the table's booked for 5PM. I was in the throes of booking a WBA ticket when my mum phoned with the arrangements and, to be honest, it was never going to be a choice for me. So I have just booked my Saints ticket and cannot wait for my first game of the season and am hoping that next week when we raise a glass to my uncle I'll also be toasting 3 points
Good morning all from a warm and dry Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and good luck to the Golden Boys!
Hope those of you travelling to Merseyside today have a safe journey - and that Troy and the lads give you something to smile about on the return leg! Come on you 'orns.
I woke up this morning and discovered that the road was wet. Man from the Meteo says that there will be more of it today. (Must have started work early and already has his hand out of the window.) Could this really be that good a day with rain and a decent display from a winning team?
Just read that Joey Barton thinks Norwich are interested in signing him I've NEVER hoped that something was BS as much as this before!
Morning all, well that was a good day yesterday. Some rain, Ashes won and an opening day result that MOTD seemed to wish to gloss over a bit. Maybe we should keep under the radar of some of the pundits a bit more. The joys of country living were shown up last night when a vole decided our dining room would be an upgrade in accommodation. Unfortunately we could not agree a monthly rental, so he was ejected. This morning he was sat on the step by the French windows hoping that I might have had a change of heart. I wonder if the government has a housing allowance for voles?
"Only one way to get rid of a vole..." oh no that's mole.... erm... Seriously though I wonder if it has babies somewhere, hence its insistence on returning? I am none too well informed on the breeding habits of voles.
Morning all from a sunny St. Helier - I wonder how the England cricket team are feeling this morning. As neither of them drink, I imagine that Mark Wood and Moeen Ali will be having a bit of fun at the expense of all of those with a hangover! Dave, has anyone told John Ruddy that bright yellow boots with pink socks looks horrendous?
Voles can have a litter about 10 times a year, so most of the time there will be young about somewhere. My wife was clearing out her garden shed, sounds better than the old privy, when she watched an adult vole getting out of her way, with six young ones clinging onto it's tail. An adult mouse will pick up it's young to move them from danger.
