You don't have to be rich or poor to be kind.

But if you are rich the value of your kindness will be measured... Apparently.

Yes unfortunately they work out that you are probably insured and will replace everything with brand new kit within 3 months, much more cash than for used gear. When I was two in Africa we were burgled and they took practically everything at Xmas including the presents! My mother had to cut up the curtains to make us clothes!

Apparently Americans can't resist shooting at cactuses and one type is rare and getting rarer because of this.

Apparently, they're quite destructive around crops. Chap who shot it was a farmer who caught the little bugger rooting around in one of his fields. I hit one with the car once.....it rolled into the verge, shook itself and walked off muttering to itself. Tough little creatures who are indeed, crunchy on the outside.

Jealous of the big pricks I'd suggest.

Just got back from the Glastonbury Extravaganza, with the Ray Davies Band in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey. A lovely, lovely evening having a good old singalong to all the old Kinks numbers. Then the most astounding firework display. Great stuff.

    Rough day at work yesterday.

A kid wanted to see the cockpit. We said no. He cried. It was awkward.

BTW, we're legally not allowed to.

That Airplane film has a lot to answer for. US spelling and slack safety measures. :)

With all the cat talk on the transfer thread, I'm unloading. Our beautiful 1 year old cat was run over and killed on Friday night. Sure it was his own fault, but it's all very sad in our house. Hope everyone else's cats recover well.

The loss of a pet can be heart breaking. As a lad I was inconsolable when my guinea pig died.

Yeah, you really don't have any choice but to say no. I was lucky - I got to go in the cockpit mid flight once when I was a kid. Needless to say that was before 9/11.

Sounded wonderful Chilco, wish I was there. Ray's been a hero of mine since I was a mere nipper, so many great songs from one mind....genius.
