Monday 18 - Tuesday 19 July Driver choices will be revealed Tuesday 19 July, after driver choices have been revealed Optional: barter your driver choice with other forum members. Thursday 21 July, 9pm Bartering ends. Letter selections (teams) ends. Friday 22 July, before FP1 OP updated with final driver and team allocations. Friday 22 July, 9am onwards: British GP Points are scored in FP1, FP2, FP3, Qualifying and the Race. Monday 25 July Points awarded by mods. __________________________________________________ Full Rules (for reference): 1.The mods will assign the numbers 1 to 24 to drivers as per previous sweepstakes. 2.The mods will assign the letters A to L to teams. 3.The drivers (not teams) will be split into the following four tiers, based on current WCC standings: 1.Red Bull Racing, McLaren, Ferrari 2.Renault, Mercedes GP, Sauber 3.Toro Rosso, Force India, Williams 4.Team Lotus, HRT, Virgin Racing SELECTION 4.The selection phase will open on Friday 15 July at 6pm. 5.Forum members should pick one number (from 1 to 24). 6.After all the numbers have been picked, latecomers (who missed the chance to pick a number) can pick a letter (from A to L). 7.The selection phase will close on Monday 18 July at 6pm. No further number picks will be allowed but any further latecomers may continue to pick a letter (A to L, one each). 8.Number selections (which forum member has what driver) will be revealed during the evenings of Monday 18 and/or Tuesday 19 July. BARTERING 9.The bartering phase will open on Tuesday 19 July after all number selections have been revealed. This applies to drivers only. 10.Forum members who wish to swap their drivers may do so. Both members should post: 1.which member they want to swap with 2.which driver they want to give away 3.which driver they want to receive in return. 11.The bartering phase will close on Thursday 21 July at 9pm. No further swaps will be allowed. 12.The final allocation of drivers and teams to forum members will be published before the first free practice session on Friday 22 July. SCORING 13.FREE PRACTICE: 5 points will be awarded to the forum members whose drivers finish highest in each tier in each of the three free practice sessions. 5 points will be awarded to the forum member whose team finishes highest in each of the three free practice sessions compared to other members' teams. If no times are posted during a free practice session, or a session is cancelled before it begins, then no points will be awarded for that session. 14.QUALIFYING: 20 points will be awarded to the forum members whose drivers finish highest in each tier after qualifying practice. 20 points will be awarded to the forum member whose team finishes highest after qualifying compared to other members' teams. Finishing positions will take account of any grid penalties applied but will not take account of technical problems that force a driver to start from the pit lane. 15.RACE (Drivers): 50 points will be awarded to the forum members whose drivers finish highest in each tier after the race. Finishing positions will take account of any post-race penalties applied. 16.RACE (Teams): 50 points will be awarded to the forum member whose team scores the most points in the race. If no members' teams score points then 50 points will be awarded to the highest classified team. Finishing positions will take account of any post-race penalties applied. If no members' teams are classified as finishing the race then no points will be awarded.

I'm pleased to see that someone's taken this on Bando. It is a great shame that after all Genji's heroic work with this, he felt the need to vacate the premises… I cannot be sure to be around, nor have enough time to devote to it; but I am very grateful to all those who have previously helped make this such a lot of fun, and hopefully will do so again very soon. However, I would like to take this opportunity to suggest that the 'teams' part of the game be either removed or reduced in value; say, to half points. This would simplify everything, make it easier to understand and eliminate the motivation for people not becoming involved until the eleventh hour!

There have been quite a few new members recently so maybe Genji is back under a new guise. I still do not know why he went, it is only a forum no need to get worked up about anything. ps. Good work Bando.
Unfortunately this is not the case, Mifune. It is not Genji's style. I also hope he will eventually reconsider. He was very much a driving force in this forum. Not only was he very enthusiastic, he was also a very knowledgeable contributor. In my opinion, he is the greatest loss this forum has suffered. Let us hope that things settle down into a respectful environment which will help prevent similar occurrences…
Yes, I agree, I'm sure he wouldn't come back in disguise and we'd know him anyway, he has his own voice, definitely. It's not the same without him and the Sweepstakes were his baby too, an excellent idea.
He got angry because of the red bull team orders. Blew a gasket pretty much, couldn't blame him since we are mostly a bunch of F1 nerds that have fits once in a while.
Genji may not like some of the things going on within F1 but I can assure you that's not why he decided to leave the forum. I think it's best that we don't take public guesses at his reasoning.
n n n n Nineteen. please I have missed the spat that saw genji leave. I won't ask for reasons why - but am sad that he has left - I had enjoyed his contributions enormously.
