Just watching the lads arriving for the Germany flight up here at Ponteland airport. I've seen most of the new faces like Vaughan, Brown, O Shea, Wickham and Won. A few escaped into the small terminal building before I could see but Iâm sure I saw Westwood there as well. Getting very excited now when you start and see the team travelling around. Best news though was the arrival of Asamoah Gyan. He looked relaxed and happy and was laughing and joking on with the staff outside. Great stuff. Brucie hasnât turned up yet though and he always travels with the team. Could he be 'engaged' elsewhere today? I'll update when he they have taken off later.
Yeah Gyan was on Twitter this morning saying he's flying to Germany. All sounds good lets hope all goes well over there.
Nope, im pretty sure its called Newcastle International Airport please log in to view this image Official Newcastle International Airport Site
Its in Ponteland and thats what it shall be known as. Okay, its 1.45 pm and the aircraft they are travelling on is no more than 100 yards from my office window. I've watched all the lads get on board now and the doors have shut. The aeroplane is starting to taxi. There can be no-one else getting on board now. Bruce isnt there. In all the away games last season I saw the lads board the flights on, Bruce ALWAYS travels with the team/squad. ALWAYS. What it could be that has meant he cant travel today I couldnt possibly speculate on, especially after last Fridays little episode but its very interesting thats for sure.
Don't start all this again. Just end up embarrising your self like last time, and getting us thinking we've signed someone!
It is only called Newcastle International because that is the nearest big town or city. It used to be known as Woolsington. Try going to the airport up the road from Kingston Park and you will find yourself going through Woolsington.

Who gives a **** what it's called? It's a craphole compared to Gatwick, which is 20 mins from my house, and does that give me anything to shout about? Let the mags crow about the name if it makes them happy. I have other things to occupy me mind...
