Off to Denmark we go Stadium only holds 11.800 so another small allocation. Should progress though and not too much travelling
The Danish champions. Owned by the Brentford owner, Matthew Benham, and use the same 'moneyball' philosophy.
There's a cracking piece about them in the latest Four Four Two. They're starting a mini revolution. Will be a really tough test
The first leg will be played at St Mary's on Thursday 20th August, with the away fixture played a week later. #saintsfc please log in to view this image
Remember Tim Sparv? Currently plays for them. Just found this Guardian article about their use of analytics. Worth a read: http://www.theguardian.com/football...ute-champions-league-brentford-matthew-benham
First two messages I received after the draw... From a radio presenter in Sunderland: Paolo Di Canio's Sunderland beat them in last pre season friendly of his tenure. They were mid season too. You'll be ok! From a Danish fan: Good draw for you guys. FCM had a great season last year, but no real european experience. Boring city though.
I was only looking up news of Tim Sparv last night as I'd noticed he had been his team's player of the year. Spooky.! Midtjylland it is then.
Damn. I needed it to be the other way round as I fly back from Glasgow into Southampton on the 20th at 8pm grrrr. Frustrating as I'll fly over the stadium, but can't go
