So Real Madrid tap up Modric, sign 'special relationship' deal with us and then tap up Bale...then sell Ozil to the goons and now their paper, Marca, is reporting the United have bid for Kane. That is one big **** of a club
I'd put him on double training, on his own, and look to fine him if he didn't make an effort. Good prospect of getting much of the year's wages back, I reckon
Jamie redknapp on talksport (when asked about spurs prospects this season) went on about us losing kane and lloris...claimed we can't wait to "move on"our good players to make money...he mentioned carrick, berbatov, keane, modric and bale (thats over a 10 yr period)...never bothered to mention that carrick was refusing to sign a new contract and was demanding a move, that berbatov went on strike, keane demanded a move, modric went on strike and bale demanded a move... When liverpool came up there was no mention of Mascharano, Alonso, Torres, Suarez or Stirling all being sold making them a club who can't wait to cash in on players. He really is a bitter twat and a ****e pundit
Probably not, no. This all stems from a commentator at our game against AC Milan yesterday. He claimed that Kane had been left out of the squad and on his way back to England, as Man Utd had bid £40m for him. Kane was sitting on the bench, having been left out of the starting XI because he played 86 minutes the previous day against Real Madrid.
What's the issue? What, apart from Kane constantly stating he will not be leaving in this transfer window? Or what the **** has it got to do with Real Madrid? The sports media have been pushing this Kane to united **** since before the end of the season...for £40m ... jason cundy on talk sport was going on about how united must make that deal happen...and when a sports journalist point out that kane had chosen to sign a new contract he said kane was wrong to do so. The media are constantly tapping up our players...and have done for years. In 2007 Jamie Redknapp was a pundit on a spurs v united match and constantly went on about how Berbatov would suit united...that was over a year before he went on strike to join them. It's one thing clubs tapping up our players, it's another that the press do the tapping up on behalf of clubs. but **** me...when the paper of a club who 1)have tapped up our 2 best players (who were vital to them winning the CL) and 2)then sold ozil to the goons while 3)claiming to have a special relationship to us then start tapping up our current best player on behalf of man utd (no chance that this is part of any deal to get united to agree to sell a certain spanish keeper to a certain spanish club in this window) that qualifies them as beinv a big **** of a club in my eyes. and how do you know they've bid for kane?
What is your problem mate...we are discussing spurs issues on a spurs board ... if you don't agree fine... but stop with the tedious smart arse wumming...it's boring and unnecessary
I think you're being a bit sensitive about the whole thing. What benefit to Marca is there in reporting that United have bid for Kane? Perhaps they think it would have an impact on United going for Pedro or make them more keen to get a fee for De Gea. Why would Kane be unsettled by any report in a Spanish newspaper? He struggles enough with English. You say it as if the media in two countries have an agenda against Spurs. As for your three points: 1) Yes, Real tapped up Modric and Bale, much like happens in a lot of transfers. Remember when Spurs signed Routledge? 2) They sold Ozil to Arsenal. So what? Arsenal bid £40m+ for a guy who has failed to live up to that price tag thus far. 3) Maybe they do have a relationship with Spurs/Levy. Who knows? Is it more likely they are "tapping up" Kane on behalf of a team who in theory are a Champions League rival for Real, who they're associated with, or that they've just seen some lazy journalism in England and repeated it?
This is really getting boring!!!! Did, didn't. Did, didnt. **** me, it's like being back at primary school!
Watford R that's enough! you are welcome to debate here but deliberate wumming is not wanted. We would prefer you as a valued poster rather than a banned poster so please respect this request. Thanks.
It was a genuine question. If I know what constitutes wumming I'll avoid it. If people get wound up over nothing it's difficult.
I think it's fairly clear from the responses and I don't believe you are not able to understand what is being spoken of here. Thanks for your co operation.
So to summarise todays' press gossip : 1. Kane will cost a lot more than 40m (assuming Levy would sell to a PL rival for a CL slot - which hasn't happened for 7 years) 2. If Austin does come to Spurs, given that 15m is currently being quoted for Berahino (who is a far better long term prospect) , then he would have to put in one hell of a season to trigger all the Levy add-on clauses that net 15m quid.
I genuinely don't know what I've done wrong. I discuss similar things on other boards and I think this is the first time I've been threatened with a ban but I'll try and avoid stepping on eggshells with rcl.
