Ha, I'd forgotten about that. Vincent Price wasn't it?

Anyway, better stop derailing or the Tingler will get his axe out.

I'd like to see 2 teams predominantly used this season, with the chosen system depending on the oposition.

    Mignolet
    Clyne Skrtel Sakho Moreno
    Henderson Can
    Firmino Coutinho Ibe
    Sturridge

    or

    Mignolet
    Clyne Skrtel Sakho Moreno
    Can
    Henderson Milner
    Firmino
    Sturridge Benteke

One more open and attacking, one a bit more bulked in midfield.

  10. You're having a laugh if you think Milner will not play when fit <ok>

And if fit, no way we don't play Ford!
Spending 32.5m on Bentekkers, he ain't getting dropped either...

Your right I am. I dont mind Milner playing every game. But him and Henderson partnered in a 4231 would worry me.

I'll be very happy if Studge returns and is 95% as good as he once was and doesn't suffer reoccurring injuries. I think as fans we have to accept what happened to Owen and Torres and Kewell might happen to Sturridge. He could come back from injury a fraction of the man he was.

We may have to rely on Ings and Benteke up front.

It Studge comes back and picks off where he left off... I absolutely want to see him spearheading the attack.

  14. Fair point, I hadn't looked at the second team before my comment <ok>

  15. There isn't much difference between Hendo, Milner, Can and Allen. They are all B2B central midfielders. Picking Can and Hendo is no different in style to picking Hendo and Milner.

  16. Quite a few ifs there <whistle>

Could be Benteke and any other forward really, including Firmino (assuming we actually play two up top)

At this early stage Can, Hendo, Milner, Cooties, and Firm are all candidates for 1st team regulars.

That means no wingers or only one up front if they all play. I think what's more realistic is the five of them will have to take turns to sit out.

The boy (Can) is still young.. hopefully can be taught to play a more disciplined role in front of the front 4...
That way we can play high energy due of Hendo and Milner ahead of him, and give the front three a bit more licence to do damage!
Width will most likely have to come from our FBs..

Re this match against Stoke, Shawcross is out for two months, hoping Bentekkers will be able to bully his replacement!

Can is naturally a B2B but he has the skillset to play DM and is the only one of those 3 who can do so - the other two can't as they possess different skillsets.

Can should definitely be the first name on the teamsheet re. midfield simply for the purpose of providing balance.
