Close.... but no cigar. According to, I think Jonathan Agnew, "Finn likes talking about his beloved Hornets more than he does cricket" on 5Live this evening.
Glamorgan v Hampshire game abandoned - this is the third time there have been issues with a pitch at Cardiff for a domestic game, the others were a Championship match in 2008, and a one-day game last year, which is why they started this years tournament on -2 points. Even though England won the First Test there, it does bring into question the logic of the ECB in awarding international matches to them.
Extremely good bowling by Broad or/and rubbish shots by the Aussies? Once again no play on Day 4 and 5...and 3 probably! What is the pitch like?

An old Trent Bridge legend died last week. Clive Rice died of complications following an operation for a brain tumor. I found last night's cricket a lovely tribute even though Clive was a proud South African who represented Scotland!
Ice-Sar (Iceland Association Search and Rescue - http://www.icesar.com) is to stop all missions locally and send their best people to Australia to rescue the cricket team who are in danger and have suffered a sporting earthquake.
Team GB have been doing well in Kazan at the World Swimming Champs with 5 golds including beating the USA in 4x200 freestyle relay.. Good prospects going into 2016 and Rio.
Quick question - would people be in favour of a separate thread for the rugby world cup? The warm ups start next week and I know there's a few fans on here. We don't tend to have individual event threads but I just wonder if there's an appetite for making this an exception.
