Shirt numbers for 2015-16 confirmed.

Sunderland AFC has confirmed squad numbers for the 2015-16 Barclays Premier League season, ahead of the Black Cats’ opening game of the new campaign against Leicester City at the Kingpower Stadium on Saturday.

Dick Advocaat has welcomed a number of new faces so far this summer, with Dutch international Jeremain Lens being given the number 17 shirt and Younes Kaboul number 15.

The latest addition to the squad, French international Yann M’Vila, will wear number 21.

The majority of players have retained their shirt numbers from last season, including number six, Lee Cattermole and number seven, Sebastian Larsson. Striker Jermain Defoe switches to his preferred shirt number 18 as he begins his first full season with the Black Cats and Steven Fletcher has chosen 26, the number he wore in his debut season at the club.

The 2015-16 home shirt is available to buy onlineand in official stores at the Stadium of Light, The Galleries, Washington and Debenhams in The Bridges, Sunderland. Shirt printing featuring players’ names and numbers is also available.

The Black Cats new away kit launches on Thursday 13 August and will be available online and in all SAFC stores. Fans can pre-order the green and yellow change strip at www.safcstore.com now.
