Don't forget Howard Webb - that boy covered every blade of grass in his heyday.

If you genuinely believe that then there is absolutely no hope for you and you should stick to playing FIFA 15 and/or Championship Manager.

    You're a Hipster.

Hipsters shouldn't be allowed to talk about football to anyone who isn't a fellow Hipster.

If you generally think he was decent under Moyes, hope was oust long ago. He was utter dog ****, only Fellaini was worse, just.

Last season young didn't even play much before Christmas. So how he managed to have a good season based on playing in half of it is at best, questionable.

i also have no idea what a hipster is but my guess is it's the sort of fan who changes his opinion depending on what the current flavour of the month is. Like say, someone wanting Young out as he's an embarrassment to claiming he's our best player.

Got to be honest, I thought a hipster was one of those blokes you see everywhere with massive beards covered in tatts?

I think almost every player was gash under Moyes. Young was no worse than most and better than some. Last season he was our most consistent outfield player across the season, despite the fact that he started it at wing back. While other players struggled to adapt to the feelossofee he just got on with it and did a goodjob for the team. I don't particularly rate him but I do recognise when a player is putting in a shift for the team and performing at his best. If his name was Younginho you'd be buying a duvet cover with his picture on it.

You say Young can't be considered our best outfield player last season due to lack of games but Herrera can. They both featured in 26 PL matches.

Young played in 10 out of the 17 matches before Christmas. He played the full 90minutes in 8 of the matches.

Herrera played in 9 out of the 17 matches before Christmas. He played the full 90 minutes in 2 of the matches.

The problem with your views/arguments is that they are so biased and inconsistently presented that they lack any credibility.

This is what a Hipster is. It's you all over! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/11430269/How-much-of-a-football-hipster-are-YOU.html

I think you are going to find very few people who will agree Young was better than Herrera. Young was certainly better than the year before but considering he was as bad as you can get, it wasn't exactly hard.

Under Moyes several players actually performed well. Rooney, de Gea, mata when he joined. Young was poor, Valencia levels of poor.

Herrera was also new to the premier league. Young has only played in the premier league. Young didn't need to adapt or settle a a new club while Herrera did.

Young just did what Fellaini did. Nobody wants to support Fellaini though as it's not the in thing. The in thing is to wrongly claim Ashley a Young is sudden our best player and unbeknown to every person on earth, he was actually ****ing amazing under Moyes too.

The reality is he was ****e, dived, scored zero goals, assisted a grand total of 2 and spent most weeks splashed on the back pages for diving.

Last season he was better. It was impossible not to be.

There's no problem with my views. They are correct. Yours are warped. You should probably check your posting history, especially your previous views on Young. Not kind.

I think I say that most United fans will appreciate the obvious improvement and efforts of Young and acknowledge that.
A minority won't of course, for whatever reason, but you simply do not have to have 'end product' stats to be a valuable part of a team/squad.

He deserves his new contract, he's spent a great deal of his time at United injured but when he's fit and confident he's a good player.
If we sign Pedro I doubt he'll be first name on the team sheet but he'll play his part.

He's a good player, I've never slated him ever bar his sometimes ridiculous ****ing diving, and then I have slated him. For that though, not for being ****.

    I'm Jose Mourinho.

I think I got that because I prefer shoes to boots and Kraftwork to Chas and Dave.

I'd have been Roy too otherwise!

There's no doubt he's improved from his second and third season. He was far far better in his first than last season though. Had he reached those heights or come close too, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

He started very well for us, banged in some worldy goals (a couple in the Arsenal 8-2 I think), got called up for England and did likewise, then got injured.

To be fair to him, he's had niggly ankle and hamstring injuries ever since. When fit he takes a good while to find form and be part of the side, then he's good.
