Montelivo looks ****ed and he's replaced by De Jong. Balls. Didn't want to see that dirty bastard on the pitch today.
Been quite impressed with McGee's performance so far, i know OS said the club didnt quite think he was good enough and were looking at replacements but he has got behind all the shots he's had to deal with so far. Looks more composed than Vorm anyway
1-0 HT. Generally a better performance and some of the youngsters did very well. Still look a bit sloppy at the back at times and Milan look well off the pace.
He's done ok, but he's not really been tested, especially on commanding his box. Getting him a loan deal where he'd be playing regularly would be ideal, if a little unlikely.
Some of those AC Milan players would make darts players look athletic. Good start, should've been 2-0 and could've been more. Been pleased with how we're playing, it's interesting to see us playing without a striker yet still look dangerous, creating a number of good openings. Onomah and Chadli have been the standouts so far with Trippier, Davies and Carroll all doing pretty well too. The Dier in midfield experiment just isn't working though.
Pauletta did well to hold off Chadli there, but how the hell was that a foul on him? He put his arm out to push the Belgian away and was miles away from the ball, letting Lamela in.
Milan finally have a decent shot. Straight at the keeper though, so it's no surprise to see it dealt with.
2-0 FT. A much better performance, despite it being against a much weaker team. Some encouraging displays by a number of youngsters, with Onomah probably being the pick of the bunch. I'm sure that the kids will have benefited from this whole thing, though I'm not sure the senior players will have. Two good goals and a clean sheet. That'll do.
It's good to see so many young Spurs players who are confident on the ball, it augers well for the future if we can keep this squad together for a bit.
Yeah, good second goal from Carroll. Shame we didn't score more really as they were there for the taking but we did have quite a few youngsters out there and Lamela did his best to keep the score down. Bring on the competitive matches.
I knew we'd beat Milan, they're just a very average team these days. We played (and beat ) the last good Milan side when we were in the Champions League, since then they've declined further & further and we showed that, many of our youth lads out there played them off the park. McGee, Trippier, Davies, Onomah, Chadli and Carroll all stood out for the right reasons. Hope Trippier has proven to Poch he has to start against Utd, really think he'd be shooting himself in the foot by playing Walker. Interesting that Alli was brought on fairly late on, could that be a sign Poch may be looking at the possibility of him and Bentaleb vs Utd(?), seeing as Dier isn't comfortable there and Mason looks off the pace after coming back from injury.
