That's quite remarkably good, especially as both songs are classics in their own right. I wonder if the mash-up would work the other way round, with Richie's treacly vocals over the fast shuffle of "Just Like Heaven"?
Not a bad mash-up, the backing of the Commodores lends itself very well to the vocals of the Cure (although I don't know the original song). And you don't like mash-ups you say? Clearly you haven't been introduced to this: [video]
You've gotta admit, Lea Michelle's vocals are pretty good, I love the way she sings "To prosper, to rise, to flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy". I think the chorus of that song fits her voice quite well. I don't even like I Believe I Can Fly, but it fits in well with Fly. Also in the context of the storyline it was good. In the episode it's their regionals performance. Earlier in the episode one of the characters had tried to commit suicide due to receiving homophobic abuse (which was an upsetting scene), and so this song was like a feel-good moment after all sadness and despair earlier in the episode. But thank you for giving it a chance.
Okay, just for you PL I listened. That's singularly the worst thing I've heard since a very bad Christian rock band asked me to manage them. And that's just the utterly hideous drum machine too. Don't get me started on the rest. Sorry.
Actually I'll take that back. Considering the money Glee has to produce something, that's actually the worst thing I have ever, ever heard.
