By the way you owe me £150 so far! :D

If you have a lack of pace at the back, and centrally LFC do, you tend to drop deep.

If you have a lack of pace up front, you gtend to be pushed up.

Leaving you playing the game in your own half, with precious little room to get your passing game going.

Carroll and Suarez do not offer a threat 40 yards from goal, and the wide Players signed will not offer any threat in behind either.

    You need some pace.

Not having a go here timmy5x

But the fact that you have to point to your Youth Players to find any genuine pace only serves to make my point stick.

Johnson is quick. Not one other Player expected to be in your 1st Team as things stand is

    Henderson,
    Downing often outruns fullbacks,
despite contrary belief Suarez actually has some pace,
Carroll is faster than you give him credit for,
Gerrard feels fitter than he's been for years, so I expect him to come back with pace.

As soon as we lost pace, we started doing better. Coincidence? (I'm talking about Torres)

With all due respect Skylarker, tell me where that comment is unsubstantiated and I'll agree with you that I am in fact a WUMming Dick.

    Until then, be nice.

We have been nice to you, mostly.:)
We think you're a wum because of your past performances but this subject is one where we clearly have a divided opinion so has been quite useful.

I always talk about football. When someone has a history of wumming our board they can simply **** off in my eyes.

    Man-up you pussy.

    Man-up?

Are you for real? You are abusive because you disagree with someone's opinion, and you think I should be a man?

Stop wumming people's boards and you might get a better reception.

He's not wumming. It's a difference of opinion, and it's creating up debate. Which is good for the boards.

What do you think a forum is for?

If you don't agree, and can't do so without resorting to unsolicited abuse, then leave the thread.

As far as I'm concerned the majority of speed merchants are the most unintelligent footballers. If they have speed...they lack intelligence and most of the time vice versa. ie Andy Cole,David Ngog were/are relatively quick..but neither have/had the brains to use it.
There is exceptions to this of course ie Theirry Henry,Samuel Eto'o,Fernando Torres.
There is also unintelligent footballers with very little pace ie Gareth Barry,James Milner,Wayne Rooney,Michael Carrick,Christian Poulsen,Milan Jovanovic.
An above poster said pace is an asset not a neccessity.A lot of players have managed without blistering pace. Also some of the players with blistering pace have been one dimensional ie Michael Owen. There is exceptions to that of course ie Ian Rush.

KPR, Individual Players can lack pace as an asset and still be brilliant, Xavi Alonso is a great example.

    But Teams can't.

Xabi Alonso plays a role that doesn't require pace, therefore that argument is flawed.

Teams can lack pace and still compete - I will refer you to AC Milan who have got on well the past few years, with usually only 1 pacey player in their ranks.

What's this I see, someone comes onto the Liverpool board with a different opinion to theirs and they are given a load of abuse?

    Quelle surprise.

Carefull you don't retaliate David or they'll start crying and try to get you banned.
