More seriously. How can one day who invented it. When did proto-mans suspicions or innaccurate knowledge of nature transfer to religion?

There was no defining moment when religion became. Religion probably evolved from some man thinking the sun was alive and told his friends. Or some woman paranoid that the trees had ears listening to her.

 

I have heard stories that spirits live inside trees.All other things that breath have no souls according to religion . Then the Chinese believe that they can come back as a dog or monkey. CRAZY

 

I'm sure it evolved slowly. From "the wind is talking" to "there are spirits watching us" to "animals have spirits" to "a human spirit never dies" to "reincarnation" to "being reincarnated as a monkey".

Any one of those steps is fairly small and easy to see how a culture could slowly move from one to the next.

If it wasnt religion the same ppl will still be fighting but the pretence would be something else.

Not sure if it was intentional but the title kind of alienates anyone of faith bcos the term "invented" already implies it's man made.

I also think the thread will veer off soon enough into a vitriol of abuse against all religions rather than any reasonable debate.

Religion is not responsible for the lack of peace in the world. People will fight over any number of things, some seek to lend credibility to their behaviour by claiming a superior being has instructed them to do so - simply absolving themselves of responsibility for their own actions.
There are also many people who do good things in the name of religion.

 

You missed the Maitreya off your list, but then saying that, seeing as most of the religions you list are all about him anyway, maybe you didnt.

God created earth and rested. God created man and rested. Then God created woman, since then neither God or man has rested.
