Seemed like you were made to look like the weapon you are by several people who educated you on both the City of London and Manchester.

You seemed to know almost nothing about either.

I'm sure that was your twisted perception of it, but you're not the brightest spark, so I'm not surprised you didn't get it.

so Spurs are from the City of London then? Or are they not?

I look forward to your response. I am sure it will clear everything up.

Do you really want me to explain the difference between The City of London and the city of London to you again?
I know you're a bit dense, but it was painful the first time and it's not an experience that I really want to repeat.

    As for Man Utd: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport_in_Manchester
"United are technically outside of the City of Manchester". <ok>

Are Spurs in The City of London? It's not bloody hard.

I don't care about districts and boroughs that were added over time as the borders were the extended. Are Spurs in The City of London? Not one of the boroughs of London or the wider metropolitan area. Just the area known as The City of London.

Nobody at United claims the club is based in the City of Manchester. We are in Greater Manchester and happen to be the closest football club to the City.

You're really not big on consistency, are you?

Does any club claim to be based in The City of London? We've been over this, but I'm not hopeful.

The original question, weeks back was, are Spurs based in the City of London. You claimed they were.

At least now you have held your hands up and admitted you were wrong. Credit to you for that.

I didn't say that. Feel free to prove that I did, though.

The City of London is a square mile with mainly banks and financial services companies. There are no professional football clubs there. They even have their own police force - not the Met.

It's London, in the most accurate sense.

The Local Government Act 1972 created six metropolitan counties of which Greater Manchester was one. GM is made up of eight boroughs, which broadly correspond with the large towns/cities making up the conurbation, but the boundaries were redrawn to make each borough approximately 250,000 in population. So Prestwich - which had always been in Manchester became part of Bury. Ditto Failsworth became part of Oldham. And Stretford became part of Trafford, which is not a town but a collection of small towns including Sale and Altrincham. So saying Old Trafford is not in Manchester is nonsense. Historically, it's part of Manchester. Now it's part of Greater Manchester. If that argument isn't accepted, then you"d equally have to accept that following the creation of Greater London in 1965, Tottenham is treated the same. It's in Haringey
London only as part of Greater London.

It was Luke who educated you last time I recall. You Spurs fans are lucky.

Luke hasn't educated anyone, though I notice you've utterly failed to back up your previous claim and tried to hide behind his, instead.
He's made two unrelated points and tried to link them.
Nothing he's said alters the facts that Old Trafford isn't in the city of Manchester or that Tottenham is in London, I'm afraid.

I can't be arsed trawling through your posts. You argued the point and as above, claimed United weren't in the City of Manchester. You were corrected on both counts.
