Paulinho, Stambouli, Capoue were all bit part players and will not be missed I agree it would be good to see a really substantial experienced midfielder come in but we just may not need him. We had too many midfielders last season we certainly don't them all replaced.
We've lost all three and brought in none, though. Unless Alli and Carroll are expected to fill in, which doesn't seem appropriate to me, then we've lost depth and quality in that role. We've also lost Adebayor and Soldado and brought in nobody. One of them might have been frozen out and the other virtually ineffective, but that's why they needed replacing.
You know the window is still open and we generally use the whole time but I am not so concerned as you appear to be.
I know that we've still got time to bring people in and I expect us to, but we look very short. We need about half a dozen signings, which is ridiculous.
What would happen if Kane was to get injured today, its a complete joke we have no backup a few days before the season starts.
2-0 FT. Hope that was good for brand awareness or whatever, as it wasn't good to watch. No idea what sort of team we're going to put out tomorrow. I assume we'll parade the 5 new signings after the break and surprise everyone, right? Right?
Commentary was dire a real wind up. It was interesting to see some of the new players but apart from that it's just a waste of time and effort IMO. We should be preparing for Saturday in London not ****ing about in fake tournaments in Germany.
George Weah's "cousin"? Don't tell Sa1nts, he'll be livid if he thinks we've signed another Southampton player. Only caught the last 10 minutes where not an awful lot happened and I spent most of it struggling to work out who was on the pitch. Doesn't sound like I missed much. Oh well, onto AC Milan(probably) tomorrow.
