And if he doesn't demand a retraction or claim it was inaccurate we can expect people to stop coming out with crap about it not being the whole story?
To be fair, it was a tad more than your usual piffle deserves. You prefer 'versions' to 'facts'. I guess that's one of many places we differ.
Anyone doing an interview with Allam will be forced to edit most of it out, he rambles complete nonsense most of the time.
You can expect all sorts I suppose. Perhaps it would be as well just to see what the published 'version' reads like, rather than watch the usual pitchfork and flaming torch gathering and then just fizzling out.
You're just talking ****e because you like being contrary for the sake of it. I repeat my question from earlier that you failed to answer - what exactly do you mean by "his version"? And what makes you so sure this would be unreflective of the truth of the interview?
Nope. It's you that generally jumps in with snide comments and little substance, contributing very little to discussions. I haven't said his version won't be the truth, but that sort of interpretation from you could be one of the issues with a 'version' over a fact.
So if you didn't say his version won't be the truth, what did you mean by "his version", and if you've no problem with "his version" being the truth (why wouldn't it be?) then why comment in the first place? Are you distrustful of all interviews that aren't accompanied by a complete transcript or just this one? If the latter, why?
Pretty much as I've said all along, I'd rather wait and see rather than speculate, but yes, I'm mistrustful of most 'versions' in particular from journalists. They have a strong history of using selective quotes. Their prime motive isn't a search for the truth, we've seen that in so many press releases, including those about the name change. The poor standards of press reporting have been commented on on this board several times. I tend to look for other 'versions' of what's presented to see which one seems nearer the truth. This board could have saved quite a few fallings out if others had bothered to do the same, especially as some see discussion as 'winners' and 'losers' rather than a search for a clearer idea of events.
If you'd rather wait and see instead of speculating, why didn't you wait and see instead of speculating?
I recall 'the tigers' being the main chant at the old shed, I recall singers 'tigers, tigers' en route to Elland Road, I dont however recall singing 'City 'til I die' especially at 19.04 into a game whilst watching league 2 at Macclesfield..........just a thought. I am in the West Stand, I pay more than those in the East, North and South stands for my season pass...does that make me more of a supporter than the others....just a thought I go to a few away games, not all but those I can make when I have the time...does that make me a less of a fan than those who go home and away......... I see many who chant 'City 'til I die' are no older than my kids..................where is the logic in what they are singing...do they understand....really understand what it is like to support the tigers I wonder or is it Hull City or Hull City Tigers or Hull City AFC or who really really gives a **** so long as we watch entertaining football at a reasonable price and ideally in the Premier league (otherwise what is the point in trying to win the league or even competing at any level) Perhaps those who chant against the club owners should ask to buy it from them and run it as they see fit...keep the name as it is, drop ticket prices and lose tens of millions a year...but at least some of the fans will be happy.........or will they......just a thought Don't get me wrong, I have no preference to the name either way, history is in the past, the here and now and the future is what drives us all forward so really, really will a name change to our clubs nickname make a real difference to peoples lives......just a thought
I think this has been debated to death tbh. You're not bothered; that's your prerogative. I'm looking fwd to supporting Hull City AFC on Saturday.
which part of that quote was a crock of ****...please bear in mind a chant is not a song before you post your response.
