    Brizzle are having a busy week...

    Bristol City are close to signing Leicester City left-back Paul Konchesky.

    Cheers, he looks decent Boga. Not sure Chelsea would lend us anybody though think they have special arrangements with certain clubs like Vitesse? maybe though I only found this out by accident watching the Southampton Vitesse game

    Hudd plays so deep at times that he might aswell be CB, could be a tactical masterstroke playing him there in a four would give us a brilliant distributor from the back, and he did get compared to Beckenbauer a few years ago.....

    Dawson ain't half bad at pinging the ball around from the back, Huddlestones better off in midfield, sitting deep. What he needs is Attack minded players about him making runs to make use of his extraordinary passing ability not a load of defensive players sitting back offering no options.

    Huddlestone's one pass is really pinging it out to the right side. He doesn't really do through passes and they can be off target anyway. He's also quite slow, so I don't really want him in defence if that means he gets caught with the ball even nearer the penalty area. Maybe if players are slower he won't be caught as much but his tackles don't exactly endear him to referees either.

    Yes but hes also a businessman, there's accepting what you'd like and accepting what you need to and it's often the latter.

    I'd take him, but only if we bought him, I'm a bit wary of losing all our loan spots, there's a whole season to go yet.

    Anybody know what's going on with Obubajo, are we still talking or has he gone back, just that it's gone quite, we've announced the Arsenal lad who came up for a medical along with him.

    I'm starting to feel slightly more optimistic about this season as the new signings come in. My main concern wasn't that the players we have aren't good enough, but more about our problems with strength in depth and options with the season being so long.

    With the following signed;

    Clucas
    Hayden
    Akpom
    Taylor
    Odubajo

    And potentially;

    Bentley
    Gray
    McNair

    And with the players we currently have, it could be an interesting season and it makes a starting 11 very difficult to pick. We may not sign them all and not all of these players could stick with us once the season has started.

    -----------------Bentley/McGregor/Jakupovic

    -------Maguire/Bruce-----Dawson-----Davies/McNair

    Odubajo/Taylor/Lenihan-------------------------Robertson/Townsend

    --------Huddlestone/Diame----------Meyler/Hayden

    Elmo/Snodgrass---------------------------------Clucas/Jaharldo Martin

    ----------Akpom/Gray/Jelavic/Hernandez/Luer/Aluko
