Ultimately we get 25 to play with. Assuming the blanks are likely to be new signings added to the squad and Capoue and Arklauskis will be in the 25 then there's some hard choices to be made. I see Lloydinho does not have a squad number...
Yes, looks like 2, 3 or 4 named in first 25 could ultimatly miss out. Ekstrand of course, Pudil I expect. Then who? Rumours of Murray going out on loan and Forrestieri but I hope not as I think they could both surprise given the chance. Lloydino will obviously not get a squad number as he is injured and no decision will be made with him contract wise until he is fit. My heart says they will give him a year contract and ask him to help coach the Academy but he will not be in the 25 even in January.
Could the reason that 12 is blank is that Lloydinho will have it if he signs a new contract? There is also the possibility that because he has had that number for so long, if he does leave, it will be unused until at least January so that seeing someone else with the number 12 shirt will be less strange. Even in the old days of 1 to 11, I found it strange when LB was at the club wearing something other than 8, or when he was "on loan" to Milan someone else wearing it, with the exception of Ian Richardson against Kaiserslautern as I used to watch the reserves regularly.
Just looked on the club website to see if the player profiles have been updated. They have apart from some of the youngsters aren't on there, but LD is still on there as number 12.
That makes no difference. He won't be in the 25 squad as he is not fit even if he was good enough, which he isn't.

A number of clubs last year had squads of 20 ish by naming only 3 to 5 home grown. I expect us to play with the full squad of 30 up to the end of the month. It gives the Coach time to hone his squad - then we will see a few go out on late loans to high league teams and others to go to championship after window re-opens the following week. We will not name 8 home grown with Dyer probably leaving and Murray on loan we may name 23
My guess with 11 is that none of the new guys wanted that number after it was vacated by Fessi, or depending how much progress had been made with those deals when he left, it may not have been available then.
