Ranieri confirmed N'Golo Kante is close but he wouldnt say on any other speculation but he said he knows the club is working hard and good players will come here
It's not good players we want, It's top players we need! Oh for the day's when we use to pick up gems from the lower leagues. Not these foreign players that turn up there noses at the thought of coming to the City!
In all fairness Aranguiz was always a bit optimistic, worth a try though, never thought we could have attracted Cambiasso. He's 26, in his prime, so if teams like Leverkusen are after him you've got to admit we are most likely to be overlooked. I'm partly glad he didn't come just because we were offering more money, might suggest something about him, and alerts other less capable players that we've got some money to throw about.
Anyone not wanting to come can do one ... plenty of excellent talent out there... good luck to them ... we move on ...
Atlanta defender Yohan Benalouane has tweeted an article saying he has signed a 4 year contract with us
Good signing for them, no doubt will score against us. Rumours were £8m? and we let him go for nothing
He was one of the youngsters I was most disappointed in losing actually. Looked class but NP (I believe) didn't seem to rate him as highly. Testing my knowledge, was him and Kerrea Gilbert the right side for a bit!? What happened to him, looked a decent young RB and was on loan from arsenal!
Leicester City have made an €8 million bid for Genk defender Kara Mbodj, according to reports in Belgium #LCFC http://t.co/bb7fWVZXbi
I would be surprised if we sign another defender Morgan, Huth, Wasilewski, Moore, Benalouane Thats plenty. Even Ritchie De Laet can cover
Charles Aranguez update Our offer is still on the table. Leverkusen have upped their bid by £500K but still £6M off what we offered so that will be laughed at Inter are demanding a full explanation as to why he turned us down and it seems they trying to push him here but he wants Leverkusen or look highly unlikely to match our bid N'Golo Kante turned us down and signed months later so the Aranguez saga might run til the end of the window
Moore could be sent out on loan again. Does Ranieri rate Morgan? Don't rule anything out, a different manager means a different perspective.
... personally I think Wes will be under quite some pressure to keep his place in the starting line up. ... but that's not necessarily a bad thing...
Competition for places is always healthy, particularly when good younger players are trying to break into the side. Hopefully Ben Chilwell will get some opportunities this season. Can't afford to lose promising home-grown talent.
