So: Celtic ... Good Rangers ... ****e Thai tims ... Cringey but it's charity Wee jay ... Depends We agreed, good ... I'm off ski
Couple of pages back you're saying you don't agree with the club's exploitation of him. It is a publicity stunt though - why is it always recorded? Jay's on the team bus and there's a camera crew. Jay's outside greeting the players and there's a camera crew. Jay's in the changing room and there's a camera crew etc et al. It's cringeworthy - if it wasn't continual explotiation then why don't they just move on to the next poor child who would love to do that stuff? There's a ****ing whole front row of them at Celtic Park, and at every ground you go to. Sadly, you're from the usual "ye cannae be a tru fan if ye qwestshun ra celts", whereas I like to think i have a bit more wherewithal about it when it comes to the modern club which is a business and will use any means for self promotion and publicity, be it a disabled kid or 100 whooping spastics in military attire singing the Billy Boys.
It's ****ing cringey, be it the Thai Tims or Jay, but it's worthy of more praise than gathering together 100 marines and a howitzer Rangers could take some lessons from us and start wheeling Aldo out for team talks, letting him take penalties, and be carried around the pitch by Lee Wallace.
This thread. Keerin - the lovable Irish jake standing up for all things Irish and *****. Pud - Chins juddering wi rage as he hammers the keyboard with his sausage fingers BAD - A wee tear in his eye as he thinks of Jay's smile and contemplates buying an entire box of Wee Jay t-shirts Aldo - Still a dumb ****.
Aye a likely story. Bet you've got one of those new luminous European kits with "Wee Jay #1" oan the back.
Aye but that's clearly because he's a *****. Only *****s pay to go see Scottish fitba. £29 for a ticket to the Ross County game.
I'm from the "ye cannae be a true fan if ye qwestionn ra Celts"? where have I ever said pish like that?
You "genuinelly wonder why some ****s on here support Celtic", and that seems to stem from most of us actually being aware of what the club are doing and not agreeing with it. I don't need to justify why I support Celtic just because i don't become all misty-eyed because some disabled kid is being wheeled out at almost every Home and Away game so that fervent 'fans' like yourself can manically cheer about what a great club we are and what it means to be a Celtic fan.
If Celtic were all about just helping out poor wee kids with disabilities, they'd have a change now and again. You now, share the love, make another child's day, let someone else with hardship sit on the team bus or take a penalty, but instead, having seen the publicity wee Jay gets them they just stick with him. It's actually that simple (no pun intended) - why change a good thing for the club's image by giving the camera time to some other ****** who isn't a tried and tested publicity stunt?
