... and he's smiling ... which obviously means he will be brilliant <doh> <laugh>

... just get Inler now and job well and truly done ... Aranguiz can go look forward to getting knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers before getting knocked out of the Europa League and the thrill of playing for the crumbs left for the chasing pack to squabble over by Bayern Munich <laugh> ...

I was getting fed up with unfounded comments being made (not necessarily by you - I can't be bothered to go back and trawl through all previous posts to see exactly who said what) about how Nigel would have done this and how he wouldn't have done that, and the fact that we are going to hell in a handcart through trying to tempt players who command larger wages (maybe it's because they are better players and that's what happens!). The whole tone of the rhetoric from some quarters was coming across as being so negative about where we are now and where the owners are trying to take us.

Saying that some people are actually hoping we get relegated just to prove a point was maybe wrong on my part. Maybe I should have been more vague and said they wouldn't be too upset if we didn't succeed this season.

As has been said before, if you stand still in this game you end up falling behind, and if we fall behind from where we were last season that will end up in relegation. What is it that we are actually looking for? Do we want to try and attract top class players to the club? If so the wage structure will have to be broken. Would we prefer players who are on a par with the current squad or just a bit better so we don't get big time Charlies coming in and destroying the status quo? I have some of those concerns, but so far I've been very impressed with our recruitment policy, so I've no reason to doubt their choices at the moment. That could change, but I'm prepared to see what happens and then judge, rather than the other way round. At the moment we look in pretty good shape for next season.

I know this whole topic is becoming boring for many people, but I think it is borne out of the fact that the club is at a crucial point. The owners came here with big ambitions, saying they are willing to spend big to get us well up the table. That will bring with it large upheavals and might even change the face of our club. It's not a place we've been to before and it does have me, and I suspect a lot of other fans, in two minds. Spending big doesn't bring any guarantees. Look at Spurs and the Soldado situation, or everything that happened at QPR. Are they examples that should stop us from trying to become a more successful club, or is it just one of those things that goes with the territory - you win some, you lose some. Opinions?

Well today's certainly gone a long way towards my 2 CMs and 1 or 2 DEFs hope, well done Leicester, strengthening where we need it most.

    DEF

    Optional DEF
    CM
    CM

Thinking about it, can i add RWB to the list incase Albrighton gets injured, maybe thats just too greedy of me.

I knew a French guy back at uni and I'm reading this in his voice as he used to mangle English like this <laugh>

At least he cares enough to try though.

Got RDL to fill that role i think and Fuchs to cover schlupp - unless Raniei plans on Fuchs holding down a place in the back 3. What is good in having quality in both Fuchs and Schlupp is that when we go to 4 at the back, which we will do in some games/start in some games, we have quality on the entire left side with Schlupp infront of Fuchs.

Can see Mahrez playing there - we have a lot of players in the AMC position.

We also have Simpson - if he was going to be sacked, he would have been by now.
