Good Morning Everyone, Leeds brushed aside Everton's youngsters at the weekend 2-0; if truth be known we could have won by a much larger margin. Even with Bamba in the team, Leeds average age is 23. If you take him out, the average age is even less. Why are people making such a big deal about the age of the Everton players? If you add up all the ages, the team team was 6 years older overall. Stuart Dallas will undergo a medical today. The fee for the 24 yo left winger is believed to be 1.3m,and he has agreed a three year year. please log in to view this image This morning he has started to follow LUFC on twitter. Are Leeds ready for Burnley? Surely, they must be one of the favourites, can you see Leeds getting anything from the game?
Great result on Saturday and some promising performances especially Wood. Forget the age thing as Everton had a load of seasoned prem players and the only difference between the 2 sides was that we are further ahead of any prem side in terms of fitness. We start back earlier and they are still shedding the pizza and beers. Another month and they would have smashed us, although we did look good when we played at our pace, but don't think we would be getting the amount of time on the ball next week against Burnley. We can have a better idea of where we are after that.
Good morning To Matt and co from a sunny Bardsey Well we have got our wide boy and from what I have seen of him he will do well for us .According to Rosler that's it as far as permanent signings go for now but what off people leaving we need to secure Byram now with a new contract Ajose is off and possibly Morison as well Good result on Sat so lets take it into the Burnley game which I think we will win by the odd goal yes I have a spring on my step for a promising season now the whole squad looks young and balanced.A top 6 finish yes!
Morning Elland and all, just back from a month vacation, will have to catch up with the news, good result at the weekend, hope we can get off to a flier, if we do the crowds will swell. On review we look a more balanced side this season, maybe a bit thin on cover when we get injuries, but having said that one or two players can play in different roles, cant wait for it to beguin. MOT
Morning all, Watched the game on LUTV and really enjoyed it. Really wish they were able to show all matches and charge say £10 per game as the revenue from TV rights from the league and Sky for live matches is a pittance for a club of our size and world renown. Thought Charlie Taylor was excellent at LB, hopefully Rosler agrees and let's him nail down the position and develop as I think he has huge potential. Wood is class, a huge upgrade on Morison. Cautiously optimistic as long as we keep Sam.
Thanks Elland, Actually I think most people would happily pay a lot more than £10 to watch live games on LUTV.
Morning Things do look better compared to other seasons. You can't deny that. Yup good result. HOWEVER.... Still think we need a couple more signing as well as Dallas to make us Ship shape but we've the best part of a month to get that sorted
Morning everyone I always prefer to play the relegated teams early. Always seems to take them time to get back in the swing of things in the championship and they also always seem low on confidence from the poor season they would've had the year before. Agree with Wolves about signings. Still think we need more but it is a lot to ask of the club in one summer. Think we still need a quality CB and cover for LB
Wolves I think Rosler is convinced that we have a solid squad, because some of the imports from last season like Sloth, may well be much better this season and look at the way Duke played on Saturday he scared them to death. So just maybe Murphy, Sloth, Taylor et al are enough to fill a birth when required
Pretty sure the Premier League opens on the same day as the Championship this season so Everton are at the same levels as we are fitness wise.
Morning all. Looking forward to start of season like everyone. So far, our summer activity has been complete opposite of what we normally see and a pleasant surprise
Anyone answer why we played in Yellow and not white against EVERthievingTON, and are we using the all yellow for away games this season like we used to, instead of those pathetic away strips we have had over the past few seasons?
Morning. Things are looking good with a confident manager and the indications that we have a better chance of progress this season. As mentioned by many I think we need Byram position sorted. Cannot wait to see how we get started on saturday. Some teams in for a big shock on first day back,
