She was entitled to a political association. She made a choice like every one of us. She brought smile(s) to many people living or dead.:emoticon-0150-hands:emoticon-0148-yes:

What grated about her, was the fact that she traded off her 'Scouseness' for her entire career.

However, the reality was that she ****ed off down South and became an advocate of the Tories and a massive Thatcher supporter.

The 2 things are completely juxtaposed. She was therefore seen as a 'sellout' and a plassie Scouser. Along with the likes of Tarbuck and the other professional Scousers of that era.

I think she backed off the Tories in later life, but whether that was about PR or a genuine change in view I've no idea.

Possibly some of you are jealous of her success. Wonder why Tobes failed to be the first to post her
    "OBITUARY"?.

Some ****er standing in for Jeremy Vine on R2 has just said "We want to hear from the people of Liverpool about what the atmosphere is like there today after the news of Cilla"....

Oh dear, now we'll get the accusations of grief and victimhood. You'd think John Lennon had just died again.
