EPT asked for opinions on Odebajo on the Brentford board. This seems to summarize the general view...I'll paste it in since he hasnt yet. "Great going forward, with pace to burn. Seriously, the best attacking right back in the division, after all, he's actually a winger. Defensively though, he gets caught out of position, lacks experience, uses his pace to get him out of trouble. If he could defend like our left back, he'd be in the Premier League already." Also they seem to feel 8 mill. is more than Grays worth but with us and Derby apparently keen to get him they think they might get it.
£8m for a player who scored something like 16 goals in the league? **** that, would rather us go for ALF, at 500k he would be a bargain. If we do sign Gray it won't be until one of Hernandez, N'Doye or Jelavic are sold, especially with Akpom having a medical tomorrow, alongside Odebanjo.
It's quite funny that you'll still hold a grudge despite the fact our owners have changed and we're now being run very differently.
I wonder if your owner would try to find a way of getting around the sell on clauses for Gray (Luton) and Odubajo (Orient) given half a chance? He sounds a decent fella though.
Really? Well I blocked GLP for constantly wining on and on about who we'd let go, and who we should have not signed last season, and how we are letting all the other Championship clubs sign the best players etc etc .... but I see from your activity over the last week or so that you also think Allam should be doubling the size of the loans we owe him by handing Bruce a massive transfer kitty. Let's remind ourselves shall we...? No wonder the transfer thread is on page 300 already.
How could you even be arsed to go through all that just to prove a point on a forum to guy I assume you never met?
I want my club to sign decent players to get us promoted again and back in the Premier League. That requires spending money. I'd prefer it if Allam didn't behave like a slimy loan shark but considering he's a proven liar, he won't be going anywhere for the time being. Now put me on you ignore list, ******.
It didn't prove **** all; you just quoted a load of perfectly valid, not even slightly embarrassing posts. What is embarrassing was you comparing that effort to one of Ben's.
Since I would presume we would rather start Gray over any of the three who would presumably have appearance clauses in their contracts, he would still start.
He is, but I think he is miles more effective from LW or LWB. He seems very good at running with the ball from deep.
http://www.echo-news.co.uk/sport/bl..._United_goalkeeper_Daniel_Bentley/?ref=twtrec Qpr confirm interest in Bentley. We'll have to act quick if we want him
I'd imagine we'd need another high profile departure before we could move in on him. Odubajo and Gray I'd imagine will mean that the purse strings are restricted. Get Abel and N'Doye's wages off the books and transfer fees in and we might be able to do a bit more.
