Finished Mad Men Season 1 very good looking forward to more. Going to re-watch A Place Beyond The Pines tonight. Top film.

Just seen MI5. At the risk of sounding like i'm a homo, i'm a general big fan of Tom Cruise.

It is indeed as good as they say. I few parts when you think about it doesn't really make sense but its a great film keeping you on the edge of your seat.

Also Rebecca Ferguson is fit! Wasn't a fan of hers from the pictures but watching her in the film shes mesmerising. She's not the best looker but her eyes are great and has a great mouth and great body!

 

The books are excellent, hope they make it more GOT than The Tudors.

Are the books a complete set?

No lazy arsed rambling moron who cant finish a thing?

 

Cornwell is still writing them, done 8 up to now. Think he said there would be 11 or 12 in the set.

 

Hope he writes faster than Martin then.

My strong view is they should keep it to 5 seasons. If there's that much material then it should be very good.

Doing 19 seasons is just greed imo

Great TV doesn't worry about how many seasons it worries about being great.

Band of brothers is one season.

The wire 5... and that stretched it.

 

They will need to complete all the books so there is a lot of material. The good thing is the books follow one another very well with one continuous storyline, the life of a Saxon from boy to warlord, whilst falling out with the future King Alfred who hates him, but needs him to fight for him. Unlike GOT were the books bounce around all over the place because there are so many characters.

It has the potential to be a great series, but depends if it is "cleaned up" by toning down the fight scenes and emphasising the intrigue at court.

 

2nd series of Fargo is starting soon

Watched a film called 'Gravity' last night..........what a load of ****

 

The one in space with Sandra Bullock?

 

My daughter, very into science, dissected all the incorrect science in Gravity. Could not take it seriously after that, its also a load of crap from the storyline standpoint as well.

 

Not the greatest film in the world and somewhat predictable too but I quite liked it.
