Think we won yesterday. Rumours abound it was 2-0 and The Thumb scored followed by some other guy (Norwegian possibly?).
I think it's reprehensible. He should be treated like every other member of the support so that he doesn't realise he's 'different'. I mind being there when i was a wean, shouting for the players, and i got ignored. Should have made ***** noises and got a free season ticket.
Never watched it in my life! and what is your problem with me liking wee Jay? Is he a ***** also, Pud?
You called him inspirational... how is he inspirational. Because he smiles! He's being used by Celtic for PR purposes ...it's disgusting. Celtic have a multitude of fans, and i dare say many will have different illnesses, disabilities and their own daily battles but they single this wee guy out and milk him for pr purposes. He's being treated different because he is disabled In the modern age that's beyond the pale.
Yes i do think a wee boy who is disabled being able to smile his way through life is inspirational. I obviously agree on some of the points you have made, i just like the wee fella. Maybe cos i have a son, i dunno
A bit of attention? It isn't though - it's rather an avalanche of sickly feel good sentiment at Home and Away games which had run its course several months back (i.e. when he won Goal of the Month). Now he is simply being used as a PR tool. There are incalculable kids who adore Celtic and would love the chance to be in the dressing room before a match, carried on the pitch to celebrate a victory or the league, receive a league winner's medal, take a penalty, greet the players on arrival and so on and so forth, right? Instead though, Celtic are using Jay as some sort of media tool - hence why every step the kid takes is recorded in high definition which then finds itself online via youtube, facebook, twitter etc.
I though BAD was talking about Van Dijk in relation to that post about him being inspirational and always smiling...
You tims are a queer bunch. You think a **** travelling to the other side of the planet to teach disabled kids Celtic songs should be celebrated and the spacker that did it is some kind of a saint. The **** would have been battered and sacked and deemed a deviant if he had done the same thing in this country. Now we see this wee boy getting wheeled out at nearly every hone game to show us how caring CFC are. He's an inspiration because he smiles? Fir **** sake get a grip Audrey.
Yeah, I grasped that was the theme of the spiel. Just can't understand the relevance Not sure I've ever celebrated a guy teaching Thai kids a few Celtic songs, nor has he been heralded as some kind of saint (that's your own hyperbole). Then the last sentence about him being battered if he did it here - no idea what that means, sorry.
