Someone needs to tell them that they are playing Arsenal and they should come. At least they will find some excitement at watching us play.
Fabregas is an Arsenal fan, he said as much in interviews. He must have been talking about playing in front o all the Arsenal fans.
How fast time goes, remember when this thread was made right after the cup final, and I was thinking the Community Shield's quite a long time away, and now it's coming right this weekend. It's going to be one really long football year, starting from the beginning of August, and then there's also the Euro's this year, so a long football year coming up.
Team News Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech makes his debut against his former side. Alexis Sanchez misses out because of injury. Theo Walcott starts. Loic Remy starts as the lone striker for Chelsea, with new signings Radamel Falcao and Asmir Begovic on the bench. Arsenal XI: Cech, Bellerin, Monreal, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Coquelin, Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Chelsea XI: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Matic, Fabregas; Ramires, Willian, Hazard; Remy.
Interesting that Walcott starts upfront on his own - he'll have a tough time against the physicality of the Chelsea defence, though his pace against Terry could crucial. No Costa (not being risked apparently) is good news, must be Remy's 1st game for 6 months or more. Otherwise Chelsea as expected
Just noticed that there's no Wilshere on the bench (or Rosicky!) Subs: Debuchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Arteta, Giroud, Martinez, Iwobi

I'm really hoping this is the year Oxo really starts delivering. He has pace, strength and great close control, if he can regularly add goals and assists he'll be an absolute beast.
Impressed with Monreal. When he first joined us he was a lightweight technical fullback. He has really toughened up at Arsenal.
Good first half, some great one touch passing moves, a quality goal and mourinho looks really pissed off
His strength for his size is really impressive, and his work rate is top notch. If he can continue to add goals/assists/key crosses to his game then he'll be awesome, and it could see him and Sanchez claim the wings, theo and Giroud alternating upfront with one of Ramsey/Santi left out...
I think that period at CB really toughened Nacho up, and helped him cope with the English game. (even though that period was a disaster for us defensively, as soon as he went back to LB he's been awesome)
