So the tone of your post wasn't suggesting buying a shirt isn't good then? If it wasn't then I mis-read it, but you know that's not true.

    Was that an apology then?

For someone who is such a promoter of freedom of thought, you obviously don't want people to have their own choices in life. Even in this post you belittle my choice... To me I'm not buying anything "for the sake of it"

Edit: complete idiot, you should have bought a potato and made your own wedges. That's just being indulgent for the sake of it :)

I have noticed that my support for Saints has changed somewhat...loved them in the past of course, but didn't see that we were in direct competition with the likes of United etc. Like an overweight Labrador I would scratch my ear and lie down in front of the fire when challenged by fans from the bigger clubs. I'm more like a Jack Russell seeing rats at every turn now. :)

Yes it was. Sorry for calling you an idiot.

True, for me it seems to be for the sake of of it though for you it isn't of course. But hey, whatever makes you happy. As long as something doesn't harm anyone else, you can do whatever you like as far as I'm concerned, I might not necessarily agree with it or see the logic behind it, but hey, it's your life, and your money, not mine.

I could have... Maybe next time!

It is a rip off, but it is one of my guilty pleasures. I never moan at people who don't buy them as I understand why they don't.

I know quite a few middle aged/elderly plump women are not afraid to wear them, but I am not one of them. And looking at some of the men in them, Saints should make them out of Spandex. :)

Just bought the away shirt, £50 is a lot of money for a shirt in some respects, but no dearer than lots of other items of clothing I have bought over the years, (which were also over priced if truth be told). I don't buy a new shirt every year, but most years I do. When I can't afford to spend £1 a week on a shirt, I'll maybe consider it an extravagance but until then its all part of the footie experience for me. The old shirts I have bring back great memories of people I knew and places I went whilst wearing them, so I consider them to be souvenirs rather than just a shirt you wear for a season.

Plus PLs mum gives me some of the money Black spends there <laugh>

Actually for the record, this year the home shirt was a Father's Day present and the away kit will be a birthday present later this month :)

    Happy Days.

I was ordering my shirt, then I added name and no, then I thought I might as well add PL badges, then it was 70 quid and I didn't bother!

Name and number is one thing, but I've always thought getting the prem badges is little bit sad.

I would love to know his train of thought as he was leaving his house in the morning and looked in the mirror "**** I look good"

Also, it would appear there is a zombie in the crowd. Maybe that's why the atmosphere is so ****e at Arsenal.

More like he's hoping he will pass it over to him when he goes for a piss. They're all knobs.
