This issue has popped up on another thread, but Arsenal don't publish individual wages. They only publish the overall wage bill for the whole club and all of its staff. The £140k might be close to what Walcott is earning, but essentially it is guesswork.
Also want to echo the sentiments on what great news it is that Cazorla has signed a contract extension. He's up there with Sanchez as the best player at Arsenal.
To my knowledge no clubs publish individual wages. However this figure is quoted widely - even on the BBC - without caveat. No one is guessing what Cazorla earns, which is strange as the 2 stories are linked in most accounts.
I'd be interested to know where they've got that figure from then as it wouldn't have come from Arsenal FC. Like I said, it might be fairly accurate, it sounds about right for a player of his age and skill playing for a top 4 team. But ultimately I think it's guesswork, unless anybody can verify its accuracy.
I have constantly said over the years that all players wages are supposition.None of know how much a player earns.
Someone knows. Of course they do. And no doubt the people that know have friends. And I'm sure they tell good stories to their friends. To assume no-one knows whatsoever is cobblers.
Of course people know but players and their mates rarely, if ever, tell any journalist or mainstream media outlet their wages and also, the clubs don't disclose a breakdown of which player earns what, so we can't verify the accuracy of the wages quoted in news reports. I have no idea where the BBC get these figures from. For all we know, they could just pluck it out of thin air.
have you put your shotgun away now ? don't tar me with the same brush as hiag & cfc as they are idiotic
Haha, it was more a comment on the inevitable way threads on the PL board go when certain posters turn up, it seems people are unable to ignore each other lol I don't think you're in the same category as them in terms of being wums etc
It's a saying derived from an assumption that Chinese people are stupid. So you decide if there's anything wrong with that.
Actually there are multiple possible origins. The idea that Chinese was seen as incomprehensible by the English, the idea that messages were sent along outposts on the wall of china but inevitably got distorted from being word perfect etc... There are different ideas of it's origin, but what is very clear is that it isn't used in a way that suggests any negativity towards the chinese in this day and age. It's a game played by kids. I assume your outraged when you hear someone use the term "Dutch courage" or "excuse my French" or "it's all Greek to me"? Political correctness gone mad.
Yeah I'll be doing my wrong predictions this season too I think I will run the MoM thread this season too, though I've been rubbish and not updated it with the top 3 for the season etc... Might do it prior to the community shield just so it's done and out the way before this season begins!
