Because it's pointless. It's about entertaining, you'd rather not see 10 dad worth of cricket just so 11 guys can celebrate winning rather than actually being entertained for 10 days watching the sport <doh>

I hear that the jokes in 10 dads' worth of cricket are pretty awful.

Five live talking to Jimmy Anderson at the mo, sounds like he's missing Trent bridge but may be available for the Oval

We will win the Ashes at Trent Bridge! It swings and seams just enough there.. and there's one thing these Aussies can't play, and thats a swinging ball!
Won't be a 2 1/2 dayer this time but think we'll bag the results towards the end of the 4th day, maybe early on the 5th!

    Not so sure myself.

Anderson missing is a massive blow, and I can see the Aussies bouncing back as a result.

Have to agree with the BS <laugh>

Woods looked decent, but has he got a '5 for' in him?

Why... I'd rather win the thing 4-1... inflict some new wounds on these Aussies, who will most likely make up the majority of the next Ashes team we play!!

Andersons name not being on the teamsheet will give the convicts a massive lift though.

It'll be akin to what them losing Johnson would do for us.

I'd take a rain ruined draw now tbh.

Broads home pitch so should be ideal for him. Wood needs to come in for a jimmy and tie up an end while Finn and Broad do the damage.
